Hi! First time poster here. I've had a 25 lb loss since November 29th surgery date, 53 lbs total since pre-op diet started. I'm wearing pants/skirts I haven't been able to wear in YEARS! I haven't lost any weight in a few weeks now, and it's VERY frustrating. I'm working out 6x a week, and doing all (or most) of the right things. I probably should cut back on some of the "carby" snacks (I'm loving BBQ soy chips) but I'm just gonna keep doin what i've been doin and I know it'll melt off. I'm still having major doubts if this will work for me, as everything else has failed and i've been fat all my life... I can't see myself thin enough to have an "after" picture. Anyone else feel this way???
I had lap RNY on November 28 and have lost a total of 38 lbs, 14 on my 2-week pre-op diet and 24 since surgery. I feel like I'm going so slow but I need to remember that I've never lost 38 lbs in less than 2 months before so this is good. (pre-op diet started Nov. 14) It's frustrating though because I haven't lost anything in the last week. I need to eat more so today I am making a consious decision to keep track and try and get in all of my protein. I feel better now knowing that I seem to be right on track with everyone else. I am also going to start excercising which I really haven't done so far. Good luck to everyone.
