Hi all! I had RNY on Nov 29th and I am down 30lbs today! I am so happy! I would have never been able to do this without a tool. I am wearing clothes I haven't been able to fit into for 2 years! I am so happy with my loss. To some of you who are afraid you are losing too slow- just remember some people who weigh much more than those of you considered "light-weights" are going to loose faster! Good luck and chin up!

Hello Paula!
I'm soooo glad you asked this question...I have been wondering how others are doing. I had my Lap RNY on 11/17/05 and am down 40 lbs. so far. The weight loss has slowed the last couple of weeks BUT my clothes are getting bigger on me. Don't be upset with the numbers on the scale...your body changes in various ways (inches, pounds, muscle mass). This journey is INDIVIDUAL and different for all of us. You're not alone...we are all battling the food, scale, weight, emotional and other DEMONS. I know I speak for many of us when I say that we are here for you

Hey Paula, we share the same surgery date! I am down about 60 lbs(according to my scales). I haven't been as active as I should be, but that's part of my New Year Resolution.. to exercise regularly. I have small hand weights and bought a Leslie Sansome video off ebay, so I can work out with some movement, not just the weights. When it gets nice out, I hope to be able to walk a little. I have multiple sclerosis, so walking is difficult and my balance stinks, but a little is better than none at all. (And I can go to the malls to ....SHOP!!) LOL. Take care and I am proud of all of you!! Jacki K from PA
PS** since we are now all going to be 2 months out, how about getting new pictures for your OH profiles? I am going to in the clothes I wore for my pre-op pix..and at the same spot... any one else?? JK
