Anyone with bmi start around 53? Looking for buddy

Hi, I am 7 weeks post-op and was looking for anyone who started with a bmi of 53ish to be a buddy. Anyone out there?

I started with a BMI of 55. Now 2 months postop today I am down 47lbs. My new BMI is about 47. Marla

Hi Ann, I started with a BMI of 51.5; I'm now down 33 pounds after 4+ weeks post-op and have a BMI of around 47. There are quite a few of us out here in the same range. Happy New Year and Happy New You! Tammy

Hi Ann, Have your ever tried the OH website called "over 50 BMI"? You can find it in the communities section. I reccommend it to you...some of these people are now near or at goal..but they keep coming back. Let's face it..if you are over 50 BMI ..there are many issues that you continue to carry with you..even when the weight has gone away. Hugs, Virginia

Hi Ann, I had my RNY on Nov 7 . My BMI was 57 now its 46.8 I'm 8 weeks and have lost 59 lbs. Wow, what a bumpy ride we're on , eh ? Joyce

Thanks for posting everyone. I think this is my first post on OH and you all were so kind! I'm 8 weeks and 1 day out and stalled and waffling between 57-59 pounds. I wanted to hit 60 so badly and didn't make it in time for my 2 months so I can follow along with the post-op planner for target weight loss. I feel great and am grateful to have had the RNY but am beginning to question if "this is it?" What if I'm stalled forever? Was the surgery worth the pain and money to only lose this amount? What are others doing to get through stalls? Thanks for listening to me ramble.
