Hello! Just found you guys! I had surgery Nov 1st, and I am really happy BUT-- I am a little bummed that I keep hitting stalls. The first was about 3 weeks out and lasted 6 days, and now I have been in a stall for 14 DAYS!!! I have lost 31lbs, but I really thought I would have lost a minimum of 40lbs by 8 weeks. I know that I should be comforted with the knowledge that I will never see 265 on the scale again. I sound like a child having a temper tantrum huh...sorry. Has anyone been stalled this long? Pam

YOu don't give many details, like how much are you able to eat and drink per day. How do you feel? sick? energetic? Are you moving much at all?

I feel pretty energetic. I do a minimum of 45 min on my treadmill 6 days a week, and also everyother day I do free weights. I eat between 80-100 grams of protien, drink at least 80oz water, do all my vitamins et****ep under 30 carbs. So I know I am doing everything right, and eventually the weight has to come off.... Pam

Pam... I am down 44 pounds since surgery. I've been reading about how when we stall we are still losing inches I really wish I would have measured myself prior to surgery Hang in there friend! Just wait till this summer... we are gonna rock!

Hi Pam. I had a stall too 2-3 wks ago. I talked about it last week with my bariatric nurse, thinking I was eating too many calories or carbs or not exercising enough, but she said I was eating just fine, not too much and the right combination of nutrients. She said at this point the average (emphasis on average) loss is 3-4 lbs per week but it does not occur in a straight line; more like stair steps where we might lose a bunch, the wait, then drop again, then wait. But as others have said, the inches are still coming off. Kathy -37 lbs

Wow, it could be my story also. I had surgery on Nov 1, had my first stall at three weeks that lasted 8 days, then overnight I dropped 13 lbs. Then I started stalling again about 17 days ago. I thought it might be water weight from my period, but no. I am whiney also. My husband keeps pointing out how much I have shrunken in size, even if the lbs. aren't coming off. But I get emails from people who had surgery about the same time as me, and they have lost like 65 lbs. and I am stuck at 35lbs lost. We all have to walk our own walk though, and no two journeys are alike. I just wish I could shake the thought that I am going to be the one that it isn't going to work for.... I know that is rediculous. I am just having flashbacks of all the diets that I went on that didn't work. But this is no diet. I bet we are all going to post in a week or so and have big weight losses suddenly. At least that is what I am hoping. Diana
