9 days post lap RNY Liver damage, & can't take 3 of my meds

53 -I went hom after 2 days, then was readmitted 3 days later for 2 1/2 days. Severe nausea and vomitting felt my entire insides had been ripped out for 6 + hours. Tests show my surgery is intact so that is good, but My liver counts are 100x normal and I have a 2.5x2 cm spot on it. Dr. said it has to be lifted with a retractor to do the procedure, so it may be temportary inflammation/ etc. Surgeon says right now because of this, I can not take anti depressants, thyroid or migraine medicines I have taken for years. My personal Dr. does not agree. I feel I have to go along with the surgeon. (???) I feel alone, and afraid sometimes, but am a Christian and do find prayer and Bible verses help me. I am feeling no energy and sick still, although no more vomiting. Losing lots of weight the hard way... My adult daughter, is post op same procedure in another state on Nov 7. She still vomits at least 3 times a week. She paid cash and is reluctant to go back to the Dr. before her next appt. I want her to even I pay. Any responses would be appreciated. Pam I'm sorry to hear all the troubles you and your daughter are having with the surgery. I suggest you find a good hospital with a program where you can talk to some other WLS patients and a good doctor to find out whats the problem. You're in my prayers.

hi pam sorry you are having so much problems, but your daughter should be covered with that surgeon , even if she paid cash. I paid cash and the post op visits no matter what are covered, now if i needed another surgery, thats different, but she should be able to see him if there is a problems.
