Hey Everybody,
I didn't know there was a November 2005 Message Board. It's so nice to see all of you. Well, my surgery was on Nov. 18th. I'm down 29.5 pounds. I had a bad experience with an egg white yesterday. I ate too fast and ended up puking for the next 4 hours. So, I won't be doing that anytime soon. That's all that's going on every here. I hope to chat with you all soon.
Take care,

Hey Diva
I've seen you on the BAF board, welcome! You've done really great so far! I'm down about 22 lbs. Official weigh in will be next Tuesday at the doc's. I have been having so many puking experiences it isn't real!! I am also having excessive mucous..gross I know and its making me nauseous. So my nurse prac says I may be narrowing and may have to get an EGD. hope not. But I can only eat soupy type things with 100% no problems.
Talk to you soon!

Hi Trina
Thanks for the welcome. I'm still adjusting to this eating thing. Everything is learned through trial and error. You are doing really well. I must admit that I weigh myself about three times a day , but whatever. I'm not experiencing the extra mucus. I hope everything goes well for you on Tuesday. Please post and let us know what's going after your doctor's visit.

Hi Diva,
Welcome. I've met a lot of wonderful people on this November 2005 board. My surgery was 10 days before yours and I'm down 34 lbs. I've been very lucky about not getting sick. The only thing that I thought would make me puke was guzzling water the other day.
I look forward to seeing you again on the board.

Hi Didi ,
Congrats on your weight lost. I try so hard not to guzzle water, but it's hard. I'm usually so thirsty. I find that eating ice chips all day helps me to take my time getting my water down. Yes, you have been very lucky to not get sick. It's no fun. So keep up the good work, because you are doing really well.

Girl you aint new, maybe new to other people. Eggs arent my friend either! I think I ate mine too fast because they came back out looking the same way they went in. But as soon as I got them out I was fine. Congratulations on your weightloss so far.I have been stuck at 42 lbs for the past week. I dont know about you, but I cant stand those protein shakes. Guess I'll be eating chicken for breakfast lunch and dinner!
See ya around!

LOL, you are right, I'm not new, just new to the November 2005 messageboard. Girl, I'm so afraid to eat eggs again. That was a tramatic experience for me. I heard that some people experience a plateau a few weeks after surgery. So, be patient and you will start dropping again. Congrats on the 42 pounds, that's a lot of weight. I'm addicted to the scale. I weigh in about 2-3 times a day. As of today, I'm down about 35 pounds. Girl, as for those protein shakes, I can't stand them. I try so hard to get them down, but sometimes I just can't swallow that stuff. I will definitely be getting my protein from food.
See ya,

P.S. I like the new picture.
Welcome to this board...I really love it and hope that we all keep it going for a long time. I've not had the puking thing at all yet, but sometimes if I take too big of a bite or go too quickly I get this feeling that is kind of painful, definately gets my attention and makes me slow waaaay down. I am trying to be really, really careful with all of this, but finding good food that goes down easy is a challenge. The first time I tried cottage cheese I had to stop, but now I can eat an ounce or two. Today I'm going to try a steamed shrimp and see how it goes...
Never in my life would I have dreamed that I'd be able to try just one of anything!
Anyway, welcome again. look forward to getting to know you.
