Bethany
Hi Bethany!
I haven't had much problem with rice, but I'm not pushing it, I try not to eat it in anything. Shakes have been such a trial and error for me too, Atkins is really what I like most. I try to eat most of my protein too. I get it fom potted meats, deviled ham in the can, soy milk, cheese, chili, & soups with meat. I'm down 21 lbs since RNY on Nov. 16th ( went back to work on Tuesday of last week which has made the eating a tad bit more challenging.)
My food log is probably horrible on a daily basis.
but for today:
B: grits- 3 oz ( ate about 1 oz)
L: chili - no beans-with melted cheese
S: protein shake
D:Cream of broccoli and cheese soup.
S: Sf popscicle.
What I'm drinking : Crystal Light all day and 1 cup of decaf coffee this morning.
I had RNY November 4 and have lost 28 pounds and mega inches....need to update my measurements. My Dr. had me on solid food at 2 weeks with the instructions to eat only when hungry....eat only until full...and no snacks unless they are something like sugar free jello or sugar free popsicles. My food for today has been:
B....1 scrambled egg and 1 piece dry wheat toast
L....3/4 c. refried beans with cheese
My dinner will be grilled chicken....small salad...and a small amount of green beans.
I've been filling out my food logs since I came home from the hospital (surgery 11/7). I needed to take some to my 2 week post-op, but now I do it simply to keep track of my protein and liquids. Then again, I AM one of those list-writing type people. haha
Today's menu went like this...
B - 6 oz skim milk with Designer Whey protein powder
S - 1/2 cup FF cottage cheese with a tsp. of baby pears on top
L - 1/2 cup Wendy's chili and 3 saltines
D - 1/2 cup meatloaf, 4 tsp (maybe) mashed potatoes, 2 baby brussels
sprouts (which didn't taste too good, and used to be a favorite)
I also drank 32 oz of Crystal light while I was at work, and now I'm at about 15 oz since 3pm. I just have trouble getting my liquids in.
Tomorrow I'm planning to enjoy some toast and eggbeaters!
Have a good night everyone! Christine
Goodmorning everyone!!!
Its Tuesday and heres my menu of the day!!
B-8 oz Carb countdown choc milk...........I wash down my zoloft and vitamins
1/2 lite English Muffin with Teddy Bear Peanut Butter
2 cups decaf coffee with spalsh of creamer
L-Soup at Hand......creamof broc Ill prob drink 1/2
chef salad.......as many bites as I can tolerate
D-Chix breast
baked potatoe............I want to try greenbeans.........anyone try them yet?
Snacks-sugar free tropical popsicle.............they are soooooo good
lots of water mixed with sugar free lemonade
tea or SF hot cocoa
I have a journal that I've used since day 1 to write down what I eat and drink to track liquids and protein. I've really slacked in doing that the last week. I'm 7 weeks post-op and down 38.5 lbs. I feel great. I stop drinking liquids 30 min before and after a meal. Here's what I plan so far for today:
B - 1/2 cup weight control banana bread flavor oatmeal with a little chocolate whey powder mixed in.
S - protein shake (at least 30g protein)
L - 1/2 cup chili with a slice of melted cheese
S - A piece of string cheese
D - I don't know yet.
S - protein shake (at least 30g protein)
In between I drink water or decaf herbal tea. Have a great day, all!
