Home-TY for support
Escaped yesterday. That's the only way I know how to put it. Another day and someone was going to need the ER instead of sitting behind the nurses station! A minor infection kept me prisoner an extra 4 days.
Surgery was very painful and that surprised me. I usually tank the pain meds by the first day and am up and going. This is not the most serious operation I've had in the last 5 years...but the overall experience was the worst.
My stomach was in the wrong place and had to be completely removed, a pouch created, then put back in. I know that accounts for the increase in pain since nothing usually gets removed.
The biggest problem was the staff. Think of the worst nursing home stories and that's what I saw.
I'll eventually get everything posted to my profile, but wanted to let those who have contacted me know that I'm home, bundled in blankies, and hoping that the recliner will let me get some sleep since the bed was more along the lines of torture.
Thank you for the support and concerns!

Thank you. If it wasn't for my doctor...who is excellent, I wouldn't have stepped foot in the darn place. I knew there could be problems as far as not all the nurses speaking english, but it's Los Angeles and that normal for all hospitals here. That wasn't a issue at all. It was the refusal to follow my doctors orders, refusing to give me meds, and the biggie was some treatment I saw of other patients.
Just have to behave myself so I don't have to go back for any reason! lol.
