I struggle with the "what to eat" every day. I am 2-1/2 weeks post-op and have just started eating some string cheese. I eat little pieces at a time and let them kinda melt in my mouth before swallowing. Other than that, I eat all kinds of cream of ????? soups. My favorite so far has been She Crab Soup. Both tasty and satisfying! Susann

I am still on a full liquid diet....thank your stars. I had to do one week clear liquid, 2 weeks full, 2 weeks pureed, then 2 weeks soft before starting anything like string cheese. I drink protein shakes which I make with strawberries and bananas or oj, chicken broth, and jello. If you're eating more than that I am jealous and you are lucky Have a good thanksgiving!

Hi Laurel, I have one more day of clear liquids then I'm on to full liquid. Where you alittle nervous about the full liquid stage? I'm having a hard time with clear liquids, it hurts so bad after I drink anything? The string cheese didn't upset your stomach? WOW. Theresa

I am in my full liquids phase and I eat sf pudding, sf/ff yogurt, protein shakes made with milk, chicken broth, sf popsicles, and... umm, that's it. Damn my food life is dull. Good luck!

I'm just over 2 weeks post op and I eat soft foods. I can tolerate ground up chicken salad, soft scrambled egg beaters, FF refried beans with melted cheese, very very moist turkey w/gravy (my lunch today!), turkey deli meat sliced thin, cottage cheese, cream soups, SF/FF pudding, SF/FF jello, and protein shakes made with designer chocolate whey & DaVinci SF raspberry flavoring. I'm also having a tbsp of mashed potates today, and I'm doing fine with those. I drink water and decaf herbal tea. The warm liquids go down much easier for me.

Everything I have eaten has stayed down. Most of it tastes pretty good too. I am still on Puree and have eaten refried beans and pureed chicken salad. I seem to have lived on soup the past few weeks. I like hot food but by the time I get halfway through its cold Love the sugar free pudding. I am going to try some squash or turnip today! And of course I have had scrambled eggs with a piece of cheese melted in it.
