Hi
I am so sorry to hear you are in pain. I had my surgery Monday and am known for my low threshold of pain, yet other than the gas I have had none. Could it be the gas that is causing your pain? I am asking this knowing non of your details and I mean to belittle the pain you are in. When did yours start? Was a few days after, is this something I have to "look forward" to?
Hugs to you
Anna
I wi**** was just gas.
Long story short they had complications with my surgery.
I am in pain from my insides and the actual incisions.
My pain began when I woke up in recovery screaming and they had to sedate me. I definitely know what gas feels like, that is painful burning. This is sharp.
Like I have been stabbed 6 times. Oh wait I have.
Yes, I am on Loritab liquid. Constantly, and have even tried to stop taking it to see if it made a difference. I can only sit here as the med sets in. It hurts so badly. I just want to warn others who with a low pain tolerance could expect.
I may feel different in the future. I hope so. For now I can only pray that God heals me because there are times I just want to die.
Hi again Jodie,
Boy it really goes to show that I should proof read my posts before submitting them. I forgot the word "don't" I don't mean to belittle your pain.
In your reply I could hear the desparation, I am so sorry it is going this way for you. I just said a prayer that God lessen your pain.
I know it isn't much, but know that I am thinking and continueing to keep you in my prayers.

I am sooo sorry!!!! Was this your first adomnal surgery ?? I have had 2 C sections, a pelvic exploritory, complete histerectomy and then the lap RNY.. and it was one of my eaisest!!! You have to walk walk walk.. to move the gas and ease the sore muscles..
Everyone is different... I am so sorry you were on the painful end of the scale..I was just so happy that I finally had a chance to see a smaller me that I would have gone thru anything!! The promise of a better future was worth all the discomfort!
I am 6.5 months out and in a size 16/18 and I have a neck a waist and a new outlook on life.. I wouldnt trade what I have gone thru for anything in the world!!!

Jodie,
I am so sorry you are in pain. I, too have an extremely low tolerence for pain so I was very worried going in. In the hospital I was on morphine and had a pump. I was so afraid I was going to hurt I hit the pump whenever I thought about it and really didn't have any pain. My surgery was the day after yours and went very smoothly which may be the difference. I'm taking vicodin about 7 in the evening because I do start hurting by then. I think getting the drain out on Saturday is going to help that. My biggest problem at this point is light headedness that keeps me from walking because I'm afraid I will fall. It was the least painful of the four abdominal surgeries I've had.
I will keep you in my prayers that the pain will stop. I sincerely hope you start feeling better soon.
