GAS or what?

Embarrasing, to say the least, but I had my RNY - Lap on the 10th of Nov. and my stomach feels so hard and distended with alot of gurgling. Also the gas is so uncomfortable (miserable) and yet another embarrasing question is how long does it take for a bowel movement for any of you out there who have had surgery already. The liquid diet is going to be long and hard. I will do it because I am committed to this! Any help is appreciated on these issues Thanks TC

I did my first 5 days afterwards.

I had a bm before I left the hospital. They said that was good. I walk as much as I can and also I've been drinking warm broth which seems to soothe my stomach some. I also read in my packet that you can use warm packs. I haven't tried it but seems like it might help. My surgery was Monday. Cindy
