Even though my surgeon doesn't require pre-op liquids, I am starting them tomorrow. I have been completely unable to exercise any self control this week, and feel that I need to get my head in the game before surgery next Friday. Any advise or suggestions form those of you who had to do pre-op liquids? Thanks & have a great weekend. R. Sperry

Hi... You said "I have been completely unable to exercise any self control this week" Check with your doctor about what I have to say here to be sure.. I am not sure about the pre-op liquids.... but you I understand that you MUST lose 10 lbs IMMEDIATELY before surgery so that the fat around your stomach depletes and your kidney shrinks... This is CRITICAL as it will save you 1 - 1.5 hour of additional surgery time and anesthesia... Neil www.gastricbypasstips.com

I wasn't thrilled with the idea of only liquids but what seemed to help me was green tea, somehow when I drank that I was full so I felt satisfied and not hungry. It worked for me maybe it will help for you also. Good Luck.
