JUST GOT HOME TODAY...WOO HOO

Hi Anna--
Good luck with your surgery in 9 days! You'll do great.
I tried to put my experiences immediately after surgery into my profile; I read several other people's profiles that had good information there too. I know experiences are pretty individual, but if you have any questions I'd be happy to give you my experience. Email me anytime.
Take care,
Chandra

Hey there--
I know what you mean about feeling much better than you expected! I have been home since Thursday afternoon, and already have WAY more energy that I've had in a long, long time. I get grumpy when I wait too long to take pain meds, but other than that, I have no complaints at all. Oh yeah, except for one: I have not lost any weight yet!!! Wazzup with that???
I knew better than to get on the scale yet, but, well, I did. And then I had a total meltdown to my hubby. I feel like I've been through so much, and been so good about following all my instructions, that I really should have lost at least a little, don't you think? Grrrrr.
I read around some other profiles to see if other people had this issue--fearing that the surgery wouldn't work after all and they wouldn't lose any weight--and it seems like this is a pretty common fear for the first week after surgery.
I guess it's good to be normal?
Chandra

CONGRATULATIONS!!
I'm sure that you're glad that part is now behind you! You'll soon be a BIG LOSER!! My surgery is scheduled for 29 November and even though I KNOW that this is what I want to do, I'm kind of scared and doubting myself. I've tried so many ways to lose weight, all unsuccessfully (just like everyone else) and I want this to work! I just need to learn to see myself as being successful. Please keep us posted on your progress and how thing s are going for you post-op. That will help alot of us know what we can expect. Good Luck!
