Hi, Sandy! Well, now there are (at least) two of us to begin new lives on this RED LETTER DAY of November 21, 2005. My RNY (lap) surgery is scheduled for 1:15 PM at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas. Dr. Hugh Babineau is my doctor and he is supposed to be about the best in the business so no worries there! Gosh...after waiting all this time to finally make the decision, the consultations, the tests, then waiting for approval from the insurance, it's hard to believe it is really going to HAPPEN! I go to sleep counting my blessings that are to be...sometimes I get so excited that it's then hard to go to sleep! I will be sure to keep you in my thoughts and prayers and look forward to hearing about "Sandy's GREAT Adventure" !! LOL Good luck and God Bless! Sheila Troxel

I am ! I am !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am exstatic and very nervous at the same time. It feels just like when I had my last daughter. I had a c-section 3 weeks before she was due and the surgery was scheduled a week before hand. The day before she was born, I had these wonderful elated feelings of "Wow, I'm going to have a baby tomorrow morning" mixed with the feelings of "Oh crap! I'm going to have a baby tomorrow morning!" I already had two other daughters and was very familiar with the thrills and the EXTREME PAIN of childbirth. Anyways, I can't believe I am having surgery two weeks from tomorrow - I'm thrilled - but the anxiety of it all is keeping me up at night. Anyways, its really fun to see other people having it on the same day. My surgery is 7:30 am and I'm supposed to be at the hospital at 5 am. Yeah !
