Are you ready????
Wish I was ready. Nine days and counting but I got behind on a deadline for indexing my last book so have been putting in 16 hr. days on that. I positively, absolutely have to send iit off tomorrow at which time I was going to dig up my slippers, wash my raggedy old bathrobe (I'm not buying a new one at this size!) and pick up some sf jello, Any Whey, etc. I ordered my vitamins and mineral supplements from Bariatric Advantage but Discover had put a fraud alert on my card because I had put the hospital stay on it the day before so now that I have that fixed I'm going to have to order again.
Meanwhile my house is a total pit. I'm going to have to start naming the dust bunnies! I have a friend coming from New York next weekend who has never been to the west before so I was planning on spending the week cleaning but now I have jury duty starting tomorrow. Arggh!
At least all this should keep me from fretting too much about surgery on the 8th.
Didi
I am ready in terms of protein powder, slippers and a robe, but I am not sure if I am quite ready mentally yet. My surgery is on 11/18. I am torn between wanting to eat those last few naughty things and wanting to drop a few pounds before surgery. I have my appt with my Doc. on Friday 11/4 for pre-op orders and a visit with the anesthesiologist. I so afraid that I will be up 5-8 lbs since the first time I saw my surgeon in August.
I so cannot wait until this surgery is over.
My surgery is on November 18, too......and I am nervously eating away at anything I can!! Bad, I know!! I see my internist for a pre-op physical tomorrow.....and I am a bit nervous that I gained some weight since my last visit. Oh well, soon I hope to be on the losing end, and all of this yo-yo-ing will be over!!
Good luck to all the other Nov. surgery patients!! I'll have you all in my thoughts and prayers!!

I'd like to be surgery pals!! And, then we can get svelte together, too!! Anyway, my apptmt went well.....but I did gain 6lbs!! Who does that???? Answer: me!! However, all of my bloodwork, xrays, and cardiograms (echo & reg) came back normal, so I am ready to go!! I wish the WLS were tomorrow, as this waiting is driving me crazy!! Of course, I still do have 101 things I want to accomplish prior to my surgery, so I guess it's good that I still have a couple weeks to go!! Good luck at your docs on Friday, and keep in touch!!
