Too Blessed To Be Stressed, November 10, 2005
All praises are due to my Higher Power for guiding me on this path toward a healthier life and lifestyle. I have waited since 1999 to receive the RNY gastric bypass and it looks like my time has arrived. What I initially viewed as denials, refusals and mishaps actually, translating into my being made over in by mind and spirit. I had to check my intentions, motives and unrealistic expectations at the door. My personal inventory took me down a six year path and although it seemed like I was being denied, I now know I was merely delayed. Things happen for a reason. My path toward surgery only lasted a season and with the continued guidance of My Higher Power I know I will reap its benefits for a lifetime. This is my story and I'm sticking to it. I take nothing for my journey but, faith knowing the Lord is My Shepard and I Shall Not Want. I thank my Higher Power for keeping me every step of the way.I love the fat girl I am now and I know I will love the former fat girl because inside.....I love who I am..........and I desire to embrace the outside....only not so much of it. lol
