HI ALL
Hi Vee Kay:
I just found this board also.... Just heard from my Insurance and so I should be able to procede with surgery that is scheduled for Tuesday November 8th. Tomorrow I will call Kim at RMAP make sure the letter I got means we are good to go on the 8th.
In my case I find it a bit confusing. I decided back in June to have Gastric Bypass but since the process takes time and I turned 65 in August my primary Insurance beginning August 1 became Medicare and the Fed BXBS became the secondary Insurance. Hopefully Medicare will pay (they don't pre-authorize) and the BXBS will pay any co-pays and deductible. If Medicare refuses to pay then BXBS will pay and we have to pay any co-pays and deductibles. I am looking forward to improved health and reducing or eliminating current medications.
Best wishes to you Vee and lets keep in thouch. I live in Utah, Salt Lake area. Marva
