Has anyone else a year out experienced very cold hands? what about being cold all of the time. Is this a sign of low iron? I got to see my surgeon on the 20th and I am going to mention both to him. I was just wondering.....

Hi I am just a little over a year out and I continue to be much colder than the average person. If I am not that cold then my hands continue to be as cold as ice. This is not always a sign of low iron. I met someone at the surgeon's office who had WLS over 4 years ago and she still gets very cold. This woman also had no vitamin deficiencies. I had my blood work done last week and have not gotten any results back. Originally my surgeon said the coldness was due to our bodies had to re-regulate. How long does that take? I don't know. Good Luck!

I've been noticing that I get colder now than I used to, but I don't think it is due to anything vitamin deficeny wise. I like to say I'm losing my insulation..... Bright Blessings Mindi

I ALWAYS have cold hands, and many times am just plain freezing all over and my iron is quite good. My guess is that I have lost almost 115 lbs of insulation..... and I am bound to be cold. janet
