Happy Anniversary to all the 21st er's out there!
Dear Sandi,
I didn't reach my goal--about 45 more pounds to go--but I am very pleased with my loss this past year. I am even now starting the process to get a breast reduction and "batwing" removal. Once I reach goal, I'll think in terms of a tummy tuck. But the whole ps issue has been good to refocus me for the next few months. I was getting a bit lax in my eating habits.
My life now is good (as it was before) but I'm able to just be normal now instead of always worrying about how my weight would make things a challenge if not impossible. I don't worry about being able to fit into a seat; I don't have to get a parking spot right next to the door; I can spend several hours shopping instead of just 15 minutes; and I don't always have that undercurrent of shame simply because of my size.
It has been a great year and I'm looking forward to many more!
Happy Thanksgiving,
Sally
I had the same surgery date as you! This past year had many ups and downs due to surgery but the last 5-6 months have been great. I have lost a total of 112 lbs. which I am extremely happy about I am about 15 lbs from my personal goal weight. If I loose the last 15 lbs I might look sickly. I will loose some pounds with some plastic surgery being done. I wear a size 8 pants and a s or m top. I can do many more things now that I was unable to do as a larger person. People do not look at me anymore as I walk by. People don't need to move out of my way when they see me coming down a shopping isle. I now can pass a person facing forward side by side comfortably. I can fit into any seat now including a booth when eating out. My life doesn't evolve around eating to comfort myself, food now is something I need to live.
I am now in the stage of looking into plastic surgery for the last part of my weightloss journey. I work in a school so I would like to have everything set up for the end of June. That way I will have the summer to recover.
Good Luck to everyone!
Janet
Hi there! I'm not a 21st er...hehehe...but a 29er! I have lost 110 lbs and am 3 weeks out of a lower body lift done in Brazil! I also had my arms done while I was down there! It was my 1st anniversary gift to myself. I'm only about 8 lbs from goal, but I've reached my personal goal and that's what mattered to me!
Brazil was a VERY cool experience that I will not soon forget! I plan to return and have my legs done too! The price was amazing for the service received! It almost sounded too good to be true! The results are just amazing!
Happy Anniversary to all of you!!
