Still having bowels trouble!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am getting a little scared now. My bowels are making lots of noise like they want to empty i get the urge to go and i do go but its only every three days now. I have had no problems going i used to go everyday now since these last two weeks everything has changed its not hard it just like my body is taking forever to get it out. I have getting scared that the only way to keep this emptied is to take the smooth move tea ewvery other day is this normal to go from having no problems to having this happen? I mean is this normal or is something going on any suggestions please let me know i go see my doctor at 2 today. Thank You for listening
I am now one year out and just got to the right number of stool softeners and fiber to not be consipated all the time. I am up to three pills in the morning and three at night. And I have a high fiber breakfast like oatmeal or Grape Nuts. I now go about every other day, so I don't have that contiually bloated feeling. I've only used the smooth-move tea once. My doctor is very against any type of laxative.
Good luck with this,
Sally
I am having the same thing, only I go even less than you do. My issue has been going on pretty much since surgery, though. When I haven't gone in a while, and/or it's a "bigger load" (omg, i'm so sorry if i'm offending anyone) I get incredibly nausceous until it's all over. This happened the other day, i thought i was going to keel over in pain from gas cramps... and after I went, what was in the toilet was pretty impressive. Mine aren't "hard" either. I'm DEFINITELY gonna talk to my dr. about it at my 1 year postop appt in 2 weeks, and i'd encourage you to talk to yours, too. I'm sure he'll just tell us to increase our fiber and water intake. What is this smooth move tea you're talking about?
Hey ,
thanks for the input. I talked to the doc and dietician she said I need to get more of a certain protein that actually helps move the bowels. You can find it in apples with the skin the skin has the protein we need to move it along and pears wioth skin and also corn and popcorn so this weekend I did it all. Last night I had really bad pains like things where trying to move along but this morning I only went a very little so now my stomach is bloated. So the smooth tea does work I get it at weis's grocery store it is a herbal laxative I took it 2 days in a row and it emptied out. I just would rather get it going on my own without having to take something but I guess thats not gonna happen so I will take the tea tonight and then just do it maybe every other day till I am emptied out again. The tea does work and I did not get any cramps with it so I like it and it doesnt taste bad . The doc was like that works but the stuff I gave you didnt the stuff they gave me was what we took before surgery to get claeaned out and it didnt do anything. So I guess I will just use the tea for now until I find the right mix of foods to get it working again.
Constipation has been a huge issue for me for a long time but it got worse after the surgery. I now take six stool softeners a day (2 in the a.m., 1 at lunch time and dinner time with my other vitamins/supplements and 2 in the p.m.). I use a poweder stuff called Mirolax twice a week, in my protein shakes. I eat oatmeal every morning and have a Metamucil cinammon fiber wafer a couple of times a week. If I don't get all my liquids in during the day, I still sometimes have issues. I also occasionally have to use a suppository or laxative. Just thought I would chime in with my experience. (I have used Smooth Move Tea a few times too.)
I use Natures Plus Ultra Energy shaike. It has digestive enzymes. I stopped me from having gas pains. I have at least 2 bowel movements per day. I also use Stevia Plus with fiber for my coffee. I can only find this in the health food store.
