I can hardly believe it's almost a year since going under. I've lost 147 lbs to date (well, as of sept 30th). Gone from size 26-28 stretch clothing to a size 18 jeans and 16 top. bra size went from a 48DD to a 36D. panties from a size 14 to a size 8. and can now fit a regular chair without fear. can also close the seatbelt in the car, and fit behind the steering wheel without using the tilt to raise it all the way up. I haven't hit any real plateau yet, but the loss has slowed down. I've lost my job, which sucked. (they didn't take too kindly to the post op complications). I can actually walk up the stairs to my apt without having a heart attack. Guess it is getting better. Blessed Be Me

Congratulations on your weightloss and all the things you can do now that you couldn't do before your weightloss journey. Sorry to hear about your job. Keep your chin up and things should get better for you!

Janet, thanks for your response and words of encouragement. I do have a new job, but not the kind I wanted. So, it will be just a sort of stepping stone for now, to help pay the bills. Congrats on your success' as well. Blessed Be Me

Carla, thank you for your response. I think alot of how the weight loss thing works is when you have more to lose, you continue to lose for longer. I went from 411bs DOS to 264lbs as of 30 Sept. I can only pray I can get into the century club. Before surgery, my surgeon told me I would get down to about 220-225lbs and that would be it. I'm 5'6", so it would still be kinda large. I'm planning to beat the odds he stated to me. As for my re-birthday, well, I'm not sure how I'm going to celebrate, but I do know one thing, at least I'm here and healther than I was almost 1 year ago. Blessed Be Mindi
