Discouraged.....
Hi Carol,
I will email you the plateau buster diet, and also paste here.... (I found it on someone else's profile). I have been following this faithfully for a few days now (6?) and will weigh in on Monday. Will let everyone know how it worked....
Jennifer suggested that I go on www.fitday.com and record all my calories, and what an eye-opener that has been. I had been eating much more than I thought.
Good luck, you're doing wonderful so far and will succeed in losing the rest if you stay positive and focused. I know how discouraging not losing can be, but as others have reminded me, look how far we've come!
Diane
OOoops, forgot the diet....
#1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau
#2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day
#3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day (some suggest at least 60 and up to 80 gr)
#4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day
beef
pork
chicken
turkey
lamb
fish
eggs
low fat cheese
cottage cheese
plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?)
peanut butter
beans/legumes
You may also have:
sugar free popsicles
tea or coffee
sugar free soda
sugar free jello
broths/bullion (sp?)
crystal light drinks
#5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!!
#6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily
I know how you feel. I am eleven months out and I have hit a plateau. I started out at 326, now 163. I have been at this weight for at least 6weeks. I have done everything I know to do. Who ever posted the 10 day diet thanks! I'll try it. I'm in a size ten and feeling great. What is so hard is I want to be at the goal weight my surgeon has for me.(150lbs.) I go back and see him on the 16th of November. Wish me luck! I hope I can at least get closer.

Hi Sherry,
Congratulations on your weight loss!! You are doing fantastic!!
I'm still stuck and it's been about 3 months now. I am down to 176, and still exercising 4X week (2 cardio sessions @ gym for 45 minutes each, one session at Curves and one water aerobic class.) I feel good, and am so thankful for this surgery. If I don't ever lose another pound, I'm happy where I am. I am fitting into size 16's comfortably (from 26-28). They tell me this will budge eventually, but I'm trying to stay positive.
