Walking without stopping every few yards
Every year, my guy and I go to a Poetry Festival in Tuolumne Meadows
Elevation is almost 9000 feet.
We have to walk from the parking area about a mile or two in rough terrain to get to the lodge where the program is. I always have to stop due to heat and elevation and excess weight, to catch my breath. We never even went back the second day because it was so hard for me.
One of the hopes when I was deciding on having WLS was, that 9 months out, I would have lost about 100 pounds, and would not have to stop to rest as much.
Well, I am so excited, I have lost 135 pounds, and we walked that same path, about four times a day for two days in a row, and it was do fantastic. We only stopped when we wanted to enjoy a great view. Never because I was tired out or in pain.
