Start @ 315#s
Hello! I'm a Feb. 2006 loser who's curious to know how those of you (the ladies of course) who started at 315 have been doing? I just kind of want to know what to expect at 7 months. I also have a couple of other questions:
Do you exercise?
What do you do for exercise?
How long & how many times a week?
How much water are you drinking?
Any odd changes that have occurred since surgery?
What's your best WOW moment so far?
Thanks in advance for any *****ply.
Elisa
My first weigh in with the doc was 356, I was down to 337 by my surgery date, however, since no one else has chimed in, I'll tell you how I'm doing....
At almost 7 months, I'm down 103 lbs... I think it could be more if I'd cut out eating out so much, but I'm more than thrilled to be down this far....
I exercise 5 days a week, we have a gym at my office so that helps alot!
I do 1 and 1/2 to 2 miles on the treadmill all 5 days.... I also work my legs on the weight machines 3 days a week and alternate with my arms the other 2 days....
I started out drinking just my 64 ozs, but after using a hydration calculator that was on MSN.com a few weeks back, I've upped that to at least 100 to 125 ozs a day, and I can really tell the difference!
Only odd change is that I really love my exercise and miss it when I don't get to go into the office!
Best WOW moment so far was going from a 32W to a 18/20W in pants!
Hang in there and keep working that tool!

356/253/???
Thank you Karen for replying. Congratulations on your loss so far, that's great!
I have't been able to get into exercising. I walk & move as much as I can but nothing routine yet. I have a difficult time with my water intake too. On most days I drink about 48+ oz at the most. Can you send me the link to that hydration calculator you found on MSN? Thanks! Btw your wow moment is a really great one. Keep up the good job!

Here's the one I used, I think...
http://nutrition.about.com/library/blwatercalculator.htm
It has a bug in it, the answer always says "and is sick with fever or diarrhea should have:" even when you selected that no, you weren't sick... Being a computer programmer myself, I just laughed it off..
I hope it helps you as much as it did me.
Hi Elisa,
I started at 301... pretty close.
Exercise: this is the area I need to improve on the most! I have done great, at times, but lately... very little. I'm resolving to get out and walk more during my lunch breaks, hoping that gets me going again.
Water: I drink maybe 1 20oz cup per day of pure water, but 3-4 20 oz cups of crystal lite. Also, 1-2 mugs of coffee and 1-2 cups of skim milk. Also, 1-2 protein drinks per day. I prefer the AchievOne, pre-made.
Odd Changes: None that I can think of. I feel blessed to have had no complications and no new sensitivites to food, other than the kind you want, so you know the TOOL is working.
Best WOW moment: being able to shop for clothing in any store I choose. I've been limited to where I can shop my ENTIRE life. Even as a little girl, it was always Sears because they had the plus sizes for girls! Then it was the Women's departments or Lane Bryant! I also FEEL much better and am now off all medications for diabetes and high blood pressure. Those are my favorite WOW moments. Suprising comments from other people can be amusing, but that's not WHY I went through this process.
Best wishes and I hope this helps!
Hugs,
Tammy
