Congrats on your success. I know how the ring thing makes you feel. I just got mine sized from a 9 down to a 6. Mine too are tight but at least they aren't falling off like before.

Topic: one year, coming up!
Hello, everyone! Hard to believe it has almost been a year for us! Definitely a time of change and adjustment, although the way we see ourselves (for the most part) has not really changed. I really feel like the me that was already inside had now come out to where other people can see her! Sorry, that does sound a little weird, doesn't it? I was 255 pounds, wearing size 20 and 22, now I wear 6 and 8. (Some size 4, depending on the brand.) I am now down to 145, 15 pounds from the goal weight my Doctor set for me. I have had some complications, and some very long plateaus - I stayed between 151 and 154 for about 2 months, I think my body was just taking a breather! I have no problems with loose skin, and no plans for any surgery other than maybe a breast lift. I am still in a state of wonder, I will try on clothes and look in the mirror and think - Wow! Who is that? The part I never thought about was what happens when you can't find any clothes in the smaller sizes? Do you go to Juniors, or what? Not a bad problem to have... Congrats to all of us, we have made it a long way, and we should be proud of that!

I am at my surgeon's goal which was 170 (I'm 169 actually) but MY goal is 150 so I have 19 pounds to go. I really want to be there by November 29th (my 1yr anniversary) It sure is coming off slowly these days.

LOL...it's just cuz I am watching the time so closely....I was 9 months out yesterday and no where near goal....this plateau is making me crazy. Lori 231/149/136

Hiya Amy, I havent started pilates but I have been meaning to(for a few months now) but it is hard to fit into my schedule because I run usually 4 - 5 days per week. I wanted to do it because my middle is just a mess!! LOL I would love to tone up my belly. My legs are very strong from running and my arms are strong too - its just this week middle - I do need to do some core strengthening - If you get into it, let me know how it goes! Hiya Pam, Thanks!! - You are doing awesome - 114 lbs gone forever! Break that last 80 down into smaller, sooner achieved intervals, like 10 lbs each. For me little goals made things so much easier. I know about those plateaus too - I didnt lose anything for a month at one point. I figured that it would start again and it did. 2 lbs a week is still very good - you are exercising, even if you are unable to do the martial arts yet so that is good. If you continue to follow your surgeon's/nutritionists diet and if you continue to exercise I know you will lose every ounce you want! God bless you and keep you, ~Andrea
