Topic: This plateau is making me crazy!!
I know this too shall pass but geez....this is 7 weeks for me that the scale has stayed the same and I haven't lost any inches. (I weigh and measure every Monday) It is getting really upsetting. I have raised my calories, lowered my calories, increased my exercise, increased my protein, increased my water....I am going to scream. I so wanted to make my goal by one year but I surely don't see it happening this way! I am starting to wonder if this is my body's "set point" or something. My goal weight is on the high end for my height (5'2") so I don't think it's unrealistic. Thank you for listening to this rant. My husband thinks I should just be happy with what I have lost and I am don't get me wrong. Ugh!! Lori 241/231/149/136 Size 22/20/8/6-8

Greek salad when I eat out. And my favorites at home are sliced tomatos with cottage cheese or I just eat a slice of tomato with a slice of mozarella cheese on top. Funny thing is prior to surgery I hated tomatos, now I crave them. Go figure I also like: black beans with shredded cheese and salsa mixed together, Campbell's lentil soup, Quacker Weight Control Oatmeal with 7 grams protein with a sliced banana in it, scrambled eggs with green chiles. I'm a modified vegetarian so, I don't eat any meat but, do eat milk and egg products and once in a great while seafood. Take care! Hugs, Dru RNY proximal 254/150/145

Hi Pamela, I'm not on here much these days either, the summer is just too darn busy at my house. Plus we put in a pool, and the deck is to be started any day now, the hard part was finding someone we trusted to build it, what an expense...my husband can do this which makes me sick, but he is working alot of manditory overtime...12hr days for the next 20 days no days off...unreal. I think you are doing fine, like you said at least it is going in the right direction. 5'11"!! you are a tall gal, I bet you look great. I am 5'6" and weighing 168. I feel I look fine at this weight. It's now a matter of what "number" I want to be, I have minimal skin issues, but issues none the less LOL A TYPICAL DAY FOR ME... I still eat my protein drink for BREAKFAST: 1 scoop Vanilla Premium Whey protein (good ol' walmart) 4 lg. frozen strawberries 1/2 banana 7 icecubes 2 oz cold water 3/4 packet splenda Blend well in a blender Very yummy and makes taking my morning vitamins very easy!! Lunch: salad with the works...several diffierent lettuces, broccolli, fresh mushrooms, carrots, radishes, cucumbers, celery, green onion, I make a large one, and it lasts for several days. I put fresh jalapeno (seedless, & diced fine 1 or 2) I add the tomatoes when I eat it. so the salad lasts longer...I store it in a zip lock bag...works great. open faced tuna salad sandwich. some kind of frui****ermelon, strawberries, braeburn apples are my favorite! Supper: Whatever I make for the family... usually 2oz. chicken breast, some kind of pork, or steak on the grill 1 cup salad 1/2 a baked potato green beans I snack on deer or beef jerky if I get the "munchies" we make our own in a dehydrator...I buy the thin sliced jerky meat at walmart...can you tell I love walmart LOL Or an apple I do not snack on sweets often, but once in a while I do have something...we are only human LOL..my biggest downfall is salty stuff and I am usually satisfied with the jerky! I keep a jug of ice tea, or lemon water with me all the time. one of those insulated ones so it stays cold...gotta be cold lol Keep up the good work, and hope to see you on the boards Take Care. Topic: RE: Favorite Meal?
My favorite meal is 4 garlic triscuts with salmon (from the bag) and cheese melted with some balsalmic vinegar for extra flavor - YUM! I eat this at least once a day, sometimes more. Also, I love to grill a piece of salmon and put a sauce on it with mayo, brown mustard, and dill. It is out of this world!!! Right now my garden is going crazy so I eat a lot of tomatoes and cucumber salad, yellow squash, and homemade salsa. I am just getting back into the protein shakes. I quit for a while for some reason, but I am drinking at least one a day now, so I'm hoping my weightloss will pick back up again.

2 pounds a month is better than nothing! I think I am like 5-8 pounds a month. I have increased my calories cause I am doing exercising daily burning 500+ calories a day, so nutrtionist said up it to 1200. I am still and always will be a control freak, and I journal daily, but its not out of control...it just makes me feel better to see in writing I am on track. I listed what I am eatting on the previous post about favorite meals, you can check there, I'm too lazy to retype it. I still portion out most of my meals, so that I do not over eat, cause I like food, always have always will and if its in front of me sometimes I take the bite too much just because even knowing it will hurt. I got a new picture posted, glad to be rid of my bullfrog old face one. I have lost 153 pounds, the scale said 171 tonite, but I will go by the offical weight at my doctors apt in the morning (till then I will go by last weeks 173). I have 15-20 more to get to normal BMI, a lower body lift would fix that I am sure, but I will wait till I am atleast one year out and hopefully stabilized. I shrank a bit, height is 5'7 I think. I am wearing Large scrub tops comfortably, and large stretch pants. I have alot of skin, and the last bit of my weight is concentrated in my stomach and thighs, it hides well under my long shirts...if it werent for that Id be in a Medium shirt I think. I have atleast 3 inches of bat wing hangage...no tank tops for me til after plastics. I went on vacation mid august to michigain....they got me to wear the bathing suit in the jacuzi one night..I only agreed cause it was dark...To be honest I looked pretty good in the size 14. It had a skirt that covered my thighs, and the tightness held in my skin rolls, and even made my boob rejects look halfway decent. I just did not lift my arms LMAO. Was great to see my freinds, I go once a year, so got lots of compliments, I lost 10 pounds in 8 days cause I was afraid to eat, and we didnt exercise, when I got home I put 3 pounds back on, but did not freak out cause I knew once I started eatting normal it would level out. I didnt starve, and I had my protein drinks with me. Okay I'm done rambling, I need to update my profile, maybe I'll cheat and post this to my profile Michelle 324/173/155ish Thanks for posting. I'm curious to see how others are doing as well. Come out of lurk mode november babies!

1/2 cup of ricotta cheese, 1 package of equal, and a 1/2 TBSP of SF white choc pudding powder (mixed well)....and sometimes I had a 1/4 cup of kashi cereal for crunch. 20g of protein and it feels like dessert every time, I usually have it for "breakfast" at night before I go to work. I also have been experiementing with TOFU, bought some pre-made season with hickory, or herbs, not bad, I eat it with Walden Farms sugar free calorie free honey mustard or ranch. I am addicted to the sweet pickles w/ splenda...prolly cause it says 0 calories LOL I'm not much of a cook, I'm all about already cooked stuff, or easy to throw together things. I like the already cooked shredded chicken in sauce thats in the taco fixings section or crab meat. Sams sells good canned crab meat. If I go out I get seafood mostly, or chicken. I still do AcheivOne protein drinks, and Stallone protein pudding as well. Kinda a creature of habit. I have gotten away from my dairy phase, no cheese or yogurt lately. And I have gotten into cucumbers and raw carrots, healthy and crunch crave solver. Michelle 324/173/155ish I look kinda mean in my new picture, but I looked even meaner in the old one. LOL

Topic: It's been awhile
Hi everyone - Been a while since I've been here - Things are okay - except my weight loss has slowed to about 2 pounds per month - I'm in a size 18 from a 28 - and well I haven't been this size since I was in my 20's so if I don't loose another pound I'm okay. The bad news is - I'm having a hard time with food - I don't really like eating anymore - some stuff still hurts - the food that doesn't is animal crackers, and mozarella cheese... I think I may really be afraid to eat - When I do eat well - I don't have a great mental shut off & tend to eat more than I should then I hurt for awhile... I know it sounds like I'm complaining - I'm not, it's just a little harder than I expected. I love being thinner - at 5'11" 210 is not a bad weight - it's higher than the charts - BUT... it feels okay to me. Anywyas - Hope you are all well - would love to know what you are eating - how your weight loss is going - have you done anything new? I cut my hair really really short and go sleevless occassionally - THAT'S a big deal.
