Topic: Stuck at 218! HELP!!
Hey all!
Had surgery 11/23. I'm down to 218 and haven't lost anything in about 2 months. It is driving me nuts.
I have tried eating more, eating less. I have cut out the carbs, increase protien. Have upped the cardio at the gym, but still stuck at 218. It fluctuates between 218-223. I think thats mainly water because I do drink a lot of liquids through-out the day (water, diet coke).
I still have this gut and man-boobs I am trying to get rid of. I hope maybe 20-30 pounds more will do it. My goal is for 185ish, but don't think that will happen with the muscle I've been putting on.
It wouldn't be so bad if I was shrinken in inches but I am staying still.
Any suggestions? Would going pure protien drinks for a few days help confuse my body and kick it into gear again?
Thanks in advance!

I got you beat... I finished off a LARGE! thin crust chicken supreme pizza saturday. It took me the whole day but I was able to do it.
I'm not happy with myself about this.

Sheila,
It is so hard not to stress out about all this....I get very hungry sometimes too. It is almost scary how much I can eat.
Hang in there...we will get through this.

That is great!!!
Yup healthy is the most important thing and if you would have told me a year ago that I would be a size 8 I would have laughed at you.
I hate being fixated on a number but I am!

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I get so discouraged. I've been at the same weight (although gaining and losing the same couple of pounds) for the last month. In the last three months I've only lost 8 pounds. I know I should be happy for what I have lost but I have at least another 60 to go. I've got the same head trips going on in my noggin -- don't want to go for a check-up cause he'll just say I'm not losing enough, not working hard enough, etc. etc. I'm definitely stressing big time. I am so hungry all the time too. I don't know what that's all about. Thank you for letting me vent, rant and rave. Let's just keep our heads above water and pray for a break in the plateau.

Completly understand. I was on a 2 month plateau. I was losing and gaining the same 3 pounds for that time. Talk about driving a person crazy. It finally broke over the weekend and I am down the 3 pounds plus two more. I just changed what i was doing at the gym. I think mixing it up every once in a while helps things.
Just remember how far you have come. You are healthy now and that is what really matters.
Topic: RE: pray for victims of hurricane katrina
Ramon,
We have been keeping the victims in our prayers many times a day. We have also opened up our home to fleeing evacuees that don't have a home to go back to. We are waiting to hear back from the local housing authority on having evacuees placed with us. It truly is humbling! I think everyone is almost frozen in disbelief that nobody really knows how to help. Thanks for remembering them on this site
