Summer,
I love your name!! I know you will make it to goal! You look beautiful - what's more - you sound like you feel beautiful! That's what it's all about girl.
Your doing better than I at working out. Prior to summer I worked at five days a week, since summer began, I haven't been to the gym even once.
I'm going to try to get back this week - got to firm that booty up! I noticed this weekend while I was trying on my size 8 jeans -tee hee - that my booty looks flat! Yikes! It does seem like it's picking up for you - great job on that - I'm sure it's all that work at the gym. Keep up the great work. My goal is also 140 - we'll get there!

Mrs. 3M,
Thanks for the reply! We know it's expected to slow down - just kind of a kick in the butt after nice quick weight loss!
I agree - our heads were not operated on, just our bodies. I also have occasional slip ups. Stalls, you gotta hate them, but it sure makes you appreciate every little pound of loss! Good luck on reaching your goal - I know you will make it!

Topic: RE: Stuck at 218! HELP!!
I was stuck between 205 and 210 forever. I increased calories, decreased calories, increased cardio and days in the gym from 3 to 5 a week. Don't do any carbonated drinks, get my water and protein in but what I was doing is eating a few crackers and cookies and cheese puffs. Not a lot, and not all the time. I got really strict on the carbs and finally dropped below 200 pounds last monday. Now I weigh 198 since last monday. Here we go again. My nutritionist said I should not get more than 1000 calories a day, which is contrary to everything I have heard but something finally worked. Best of luck to you, and hang in there!!!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/jump.gif)

Sandra-
What exactly is in the supplement? Is that in addition to your synthroid medication (generic levothroid, levoxyl)?

Hi Candy,
you are doing great with your weight loss!! I was a slow loser! In April I think I lost 2 and in May zero lbs!! I was so scared it was over!! I seem to lose more one month and then next month 1 lose only 1 or 2!!
Check this out:
May 0
June 5 lbs
July 1 lbs
August 3 lbs
Sptember 7 lbs
1) So it seems like it picked up!! ???
2) I know I can eat more but I haven't scarfed down a bagel with cream cheese yet
(my old favorite). Emotional I think exercise has replaced eating for me. I work out any stress at the gym not in the kitchen!! (I'll keep my fingers crossed on this one ...so far so good)
3) I'm 2 lbs from my first goal of a BMI under 25!! Then I will continue to try to get to 147 (i'm 5' 6). I will have plastic surgery in March and I think that will shave a few lbs. From now to Mar I plan on working off as much as I can maybe I'll get to 140!! I WAS REALLY WORRIED BEFORE but now I think I will make it to goal!!
Best wishes to you!!!
~Summer
240/159/157 then on to 147

YAY!!! That's just fantastic! I'm so happy for you. I still have 10 more lbs to go to get to the dr's goal. He wants me at 120. Good for you.

Topic: RE: burning in stomach
Hi Ramon,
It is possible to get an ulcer. It can also be very serious after bypass surgery. Please follow through with this. I guess all surgeons are different. Did your surgeon have you on any type of anti-acid medication after surgery? My surgeon is very strict that everyone must take Protonix 40 mg after surgery for atleast 2 months. Me, I still take it everyday. My primary care physician says I should take it for the rest of my life in order to protect my stomach from ulcers. Sorry you are not feeling well, just please don't let it go. Make sure they do everything to find the source of the pain and treat it promptly. Best of luck!

Topic: RE: I am driving myself nuts!
I am not going through this exact thing but with my pre-surgery counseling and support groups, what you are experiencing is normal. It takes our heads a while to catch up to our bodies. I am dealing with accepting that I am not in a size 22 anymore. I am in a comfortable 14 and a tight 12. When did that happen?!? I still find myself wanting to go into the Lagre Size clothing stores for clothes, knowing that nothing will fit. But I shopped there for so long, it is hard to accept that I can't do it anymore. You are not alone in feeling this way.
Are there any support groups near you that you can go to? They really help.

1) Mine has stayed pretty slow
2) I think it is normal, since it is our stomach that is operated on not our brains. That is where remembering that this is a tool to help us, not the cure. I slip up from time to time but I try to remember to get back on track with the next meal. As long as it doesn't become an every meal habit, it is ok. We are human after all.
3)YES!! I am currently on a stall. I have lost and gained the same 3 pounds for 2 months. I went back to the nutritionist from my dr's office looking for help. I am 25 pounds away from goal and really really want to get there by one year, but at this pace, it ain't gonna happen.
