I almost forgot until I read the email from OH congratulating me on my anniversary! Sometimes I forget that I actually had RNY. When I do think about it, I get a little paranoid that I actually had it, wondering if I might have some weird side effect one day and die from complications... is that totally weird? anyone else think that way? I still take my vitamins and I am maintaining 150 to 155 lbs. I guess I am just paranoid I'd love a breast lift or augmentation, but no $$ for that. I do not like to see myself naked with such droopy breasts! It makes me feel like I'm 80! Overall, still happy with the results... and my life. Donna

I'm not far behind ya. I've never hiked six miles so I'd be REALLY far behind you. I still don't go to the mailbox. I hate going to the mailbox. Congrats to US!! janet

I am amazed at me and my new life. Life is grand. I hiked 6 miles this morning 1,300 ft elevation gain.....it was no problem. I could not walk to the mail box 2 years ago. I hope everyone is doing well, too. Sandy

on the 11th it'll be two years... interesting ride. I've held steady at 210 - which is just fine - for about 6 months now... I still do stupid things - and then am very uncomfortable & wonder why the heck... oh well old habits die hard. I still LOVE to eat & well I don't think that's ever going to go away. It's my addiciton & the best I can do is acknowledge, make friends with it & keep it in check. I do some weird things now. Like I go to Starbucks' in the am... buy a couple of pastries - eat a bite & throw the whole thing away - or maybe don't even eat a bite - I spend alot on food... I never eat... it's sick I suppose - but - well it's better than eating it all & putting weight on. I still have moments where I say I HAVE to have a piece of fried chicken knowing full well it is going to male me feel very very sick... oh well I suppose. The biggest issue is my teeth look terrible at the gum line. I think this might be a lack of some nutrient - time to see the dentist... never had this problem before - always had pretty good teeth care... Anyways. It's all good - just a little different than I probably expected. Hope all is well with you. - Please share your darkest secrets... goodness knows I shouldn't be the only one LOL!

I agree. I play with 5lbs all the time. I started at 243 and my lowest weight is 136. I want to stay between 136 and 142. If I see the weight start to creep up again I up the protein, cut out the carbs and concentrate on drinking. It hasn't failed me yet. Those carbs are my downfall! Try not to exceed 11 carbs per meal (3 meals a day) and 3 no carb snacks and see if that doesn't kick start your weight loss again. Good luck!!!! Debbie 243/136

Kenneth, I just wanted to say that you look amazing. I can't believe how much younger you look in your after pics than you did in your before. I don't know if when it stops. I think it is different for everyone. I guess when your body says enough..LOL. I stopped losing after 9 months post op. I was already at goal. I think it depends on the amount you start with and how much you need to lose. Either way.. you really look great. Keep up whatever you've been doing..it's working for you! ~Angel 255/222/126 highest/day of surg/at Goal!
