Sounds like someone is being negative towards your success. And sounds like they don't understand how your lifestyle has changed. Just keep doing what you are doing and know you will not stretch it out that much.

I have heard that our stomachs will expand naturally but no where near the size that they were. I think you are right about the constantly eating alot etc to over stretch your pouch. I don't like feeling sick so I don't over eat. That is a good benefit of the surgery.
Don't worry about it...just keep doing what you are doing.....we will be fine.

I HAD MY SURGERY IN NOVEMBER ALSO I WAS 210LBS THE DAY OF SURGERY AND NOW I'M 125LBS. SO MY PROBLEM NOW IS TRYING TO SLOW DOWN THE WEIGHT LOSS.
I BELIEVE THAT IF YOU ALWAYS FOLLOW THE POUCH RULES AND EXERCISE THEN YOU'LL BE JUST FINE. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO TAKE WHAT PEOPLE SAY AS A GRAIN OF SALT, ALWAYS COMPARING ONE PERSONS EXPERIENCE TO EVERYBODY ELSES, IGNORE THEM.

Hi ,
I had my wls in nov. of 04 my 1 yr. is coming up too fast
I started my wls at 203 now i weigh 152 . I still bounce up a little now and then. I hope to reach my goal of 140 .
Im confused when i hear people say to me ... oh hopefully you wont gain all of it back when you stretch out your stomach again ....
Wouldn't a person have to eat alot, get sick , and continue this until they stretched out their stomach.
People make is sound like if you over eat ,, which when i do that i get sick ... duh not going to continue to do this
so hey im confused what is up with this ....????

I had my WLS on 11/18. on 5/13/05 I had my hip replaced. So far I have lost 80 lbs with about 30 to go. I'm a size 12.
All I can say is everyone with a new picture looks so happy which is the way I feel.
I have so much energy now I feel like the energizer bunny. Between losing weight and no more pain, I feel teriffic.
I went to a dance and men asked me to dance which never happened before. I get admiring looks LOL This was worth it.

112 pounds since WLS when I weighed 280
2. Have you revised your goal weight at this period in time???
Hmmm, my MD did not give me a goal. I just thought that 150 would be a good weight. Now I am thinking I want to weigh less -- so my goal is 150, but my personal goal is 130. I now weigh 168.
3. Do you have a goal for your anniversary date??? (it doesn't have to be # of lbs... could be activity? trip? divorce??? (just kidding)... new job?)
I want to weigh 150 by 11/24/05 -- my one year anniversary. If I don't -- it is OK. I have lost 112 pounds and am very, very happy!!!!
4. How many more Lbs do you need to lose in order to reach goal?
18 to reach goal
38 to reach my personal goal

Definitely report her. Anyone working in her position should have some sensitivity towards people that she comes in contact with. She needs to get another job--some type where she can insult people and get paid for it because they want to be insulted. We have to deal with enough out in the cold, cruel world without people that we are paying to help us doing it. She should be careful because you never know when your metabolism can change and she could experience the prejudice we all have experienced.

Good morning. I would complain because that tech was supposed to be doing a ultrasound and nothing more she was not supposed to reading the history of why you were there. A tech is supposed to take pictures and thats all. Please write or call in a complaint because she might be doing this to other patients who won't speak up for theirselves.

I am sorry you had to be subjected to this extremely insensitive person. If it was me, I would complain - this way maybe this person can get some "sensitivity training" and not insult anyone else!
