Topic: RE: New Year Check In!!!
I've lost 125.5 from my highest. I just broke 150 and am sooooo excited!!
During the holidays I did great as far as the scale goes. I did eat some things that were not the greatest for me, but I kept up the exercise and weighed exactly the same the day after New Year's as I did at Thanksgiving time.
I know I want to loose 10 more pounds, maybe 15.
Tons and tons of compliments!!! I wore a sexy little black shirt for New Year's and everyone just raved about it! It felt really good!!!
Advise for pre-ops: Don't worry about what everyone else says or thinks - if you want to do it - Do it and Do it for yourself not for anyone else!!!!! It's the best decision I've ever made for myself. And also, It's not easy so don't assume it will be!!!!
Great Questions!!!!

1. 114 LBS from my highest weight
2. I actually lost 2 pounds around Christmas but put it back on by New Year's.
3. Get back on track with my eating habits. Get back to the gym. And start running.
4. Didn't see anyone new who hasn't seen me in the last few months.
5. Pre-op advise: form your good habits early. Don't be too quick to try and "test" your pouch with bad things. Take measurements regularly, if the scale stops moving, chances are you are still losing inches.
B, where are your answers? You never answer your own polls.

Loved the first one. I love the soundtrack to that movie.
Didn't care for the second one.

Happy New Year!
1. 129 pounds gone!
2. I did great over the holidays... My goal was to maintain, but I actually lost weight.
3. I'd like to tone up my body and add more muscle to decrease my body fat percentage.
4. I didn't go home this year...spent the holidays with my sweetheart.
5. When you're post-op, it's a good idea to monitor your weight to keep track of how you're doing, but don't freak out over temporary stalls or occasional fluctuations up on the scale.

I love the "Eddie & the Cruisers" I & II movies. I just recently purchased them now that they're on DVD. I'm listening to some of the music right now and am "ROCKIN' OUT"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Michael Pare played "Eddie" in the movies. They came out in the 1980's.
Any one else heard of them? Curious.

Happy New Year to all! It's amazing how quickly this past year has gone!
In answer to your questions:
1. I've lost 114 pounds.
2. I did great during the holidays. I stayed the same (I'm at goal) which was great!
3. My goals are to continue exercising, keep my protein up, stay away from desserts and breads/pastas and maintain my weight.
4. I got LOTS of compliments! It was absolutely wonderful!
5. Make some decisions prior to surgery that will help you be successful. I decided that I am not a "moderation" type person so there were some things I had to give up forever. Sweets (over 16g of sugar per serving) are no longer in my diet, no breads (other than tortillas and potatoes) and no pastas or rice. I think that has really helped me attain and stay at my goal weight.
Good Luck to all!
