Topic: RE: Eating in restaurants
OMG, you guys are so good when you eat out! LOL I eat a little of anything I ate before surgery, but I don't dump so maybe that's why?? We eat out a lot and I have gone to tons of restaurants, so can't list them all but here's a few:
Outback: Get the Outback Special with hubby and eat a bit of the salad, a bite of bread with the butter, about 3 oz of steak and a bite or two of the potato if I get one.
Mexican: Chicken Chimichanga is my favorite!! I eat about a 1/4 of one including the tortilla along with a (3-5) few chips and salsa before dinner. Sometimes eat a bite or two of the beans and rice. Went out for mexican the other night and got fajitas with hubby and ate have a tortilla with chicken and veggies, plus sour cream and salsa and beans and a bite of rice.
McDonalds: Snack sized fruit and yogurt parfait (with or without the granola) and usually don't eat the fruit part. Have ordered an egg there before, ordered an egg mcmuffin and eaten the inside, ordered a cheeseburger and eaten most of it including the bun. Have had a couple fries here and there, but rarely go there because I just don't like them anymore.
We eat out a lot to steakhouses, so most of the time, we just share a steak dinner and I eat a bit of the salad and maybe a bite of bread or potato. That tends to be our usual choices because of the protein content. Had chinese the other day for the first time (was a buffet) and had a piece of sweet and sour chicken with the sauce, a piece of General Tso's, about 1/4 cup of rice, and a few bites of the desserts they had on the bar.
I only eat 3 times a day per my surgeon's requirements (no snacks allowed) so I think I can eat a little larger meals than someone who is allowed to eat 5 small meals each day. Not sure. My meals total about 6oz which is what my surgeon wants me at. Not quite a full saucer sized plate, but almost depending on what it is.
Hope that helps some

Now don't you go crying Michelle. You'll be there very soon. It's a time to give high fives instead of crying. But I have to admit I did cry when I got down in to a size XL from a size 22. That was at Christmas. Thanks for the kind words. xoxo

Thanks a bunch Lynnie. I'm half asleep as I write this since my dh was sick last night with sinus and fever and my doggie was sick too. I hope I don't catch the sinus infection and I really hope I don't get my doggie's ear infection. lol

Way to go Alice!! Welcome to onederland!!! It's so nice isn't it? I can't tell you the last time my scale said that number!! I think it's so neat that most of us on here are around the same amount of weight loss! Now I'm struggling with my last 30 pds. coming off a little slower than at first. Guess that means I have to work a little harder! Oh well!! Keep up on the great job!

Congratulations! Way to go, girl!
It's such a mental boost to have broken that barrier, isn't it?
