Topic: RE: Eating in restaurants
Hey Leighann!!
Ok, not a long list but here goes...
Isaac's - Finch (I love their turkey!). I eat the turkey and the cheese and bacon but not the bread - ok, maybe a little of the bread. I can eat about 1/4 and take the rest home.
Chili's - cup of broccoli and cheese soup - yum
Wendy's - chili but I'm pretty sick of it since that was the first real food I ate after surgery and I got it a lot.
Burger King - 1/2 cheeseburger without the top roll (I wasn't proud of the fact that I went to the big BK at all but I was rushed for time).
Take care!!
Debbie

Karry,
You're not alone (unfortunately!!) I think it's just part of the new package. I've been more gassy since the surgery but especially if I eat dairy. Try to keep track of what you've eaten when the gas is bad and then you'll know which nights to sleep on the sofa!!
Take care

Topic: RE: EMOTIONAL SHOPPING TRIP
Tina I can so relate to what you said. I finally bought some clothes in the 1X size though I also tried on a 14 and while snug I could zip it up and button it. My head hasn't caught up with my weight loss I guess. I can't remember when I've been able to wear "normal" clothes. I just got down to 198 and I haven't been that low since 1985. But I'm willing to try to get used to it. Thanks for writing. xoxo Alice

I have also been gassy but from day one. I have a bad habit of just keep walking and let it sneak out little by little and hope no one knows its me.
I am glad to know I am not the only one!

Topic: RE: EMOTIONAL SHOPPING TRIP
Hi, Alice
I just went thru this trip, I have been a size 24/26 for about 4 years. I had to go shopping to buy something that fit, I was fine when I started I went directly to the Plus sizes, I pulled an 20, tried it on....to big, ok I said to myself I must be in a size 18, pulled it, tried it on....to big, ok, let me try a 16 pulled it, tried it on....a little big, ok, lets try a 14, a little snug, so I bought it, All the time I was trying clothes on I was wondering who was playing a trick on me, I still can not belive that I can fit my body into a 14 and an xl shirt, I think I could wear a lg but I like my shirts big...I am trying to change that but it will take time...I still see that VERY FAT person in the mirror....The thing about it is, I keep going BACK to the plus sizes. I hope this changes sooooooooon!!
Thanks for listening to me.

I know you said you have not changed your diet, but have you recently introduced new snacks that are sugar free? Ie: sugar free ice cream, low carb or sugar free candy, a new protein bar that's low carb or low sugar etc. Any of those items that are sugar free may have a high sugar alcohol content which causes major gas. Does not usually stink, but is loud and noxious. Check the packages not only for the grams of sugar in what you eat, but also the sugar alcohol. I stay away from anything that has 8 or more grams of sugar alcohol. My husband appreciates me reading the labels
