Topic: A WOW moment
My husband & I were at the mall the other day and I decided to go into Lane Bryant looking for some pants. I typically only shop on the clearence racks, especially right now. So I am looking at every pair of pants there and the smallest size is an 18, which is now begining to be baggy on me. So I just walked out, empty handed. Hubby asks if I bought anything and I said "Nope, they didn't have anything in my size on sale" I was sooo happy to be able to say that
What is your most recent WOW moment?

Topic: RE: I am so bummed! (Protein)
Leighann, I can totally relate Here's a couple suggestions:
Carb Countdown Chocolate Milk - 1 cup = 12 grams protein
Carb Freedom Yogurt Smoothie by Blue bunny - 13 grams protein
Also, try the new South Beach Diet meal replacement bars. The peanut butter tastes like p-nut butter rice kryspy bars. First bar I've found that I actually enjoy. Has 19 grams of protein. They come as individuals or by the box. If you buy the individuals make sure you only eat half - they are much larger than the ones you by in a pack.
Like you, I've hated every protein drink I've tried. Good luck

Topic: RE: Difficult in eating Bread?
Well I am the streange one I guess. I do eat bread and pasta and other carbs because I love them. I had a hard time in the first few months with carbs like pasta and bread. I don't think it's healthy to totally avoid any food group, I try to eat well rounded and get in what my body needs. Some carbs will go down better for you than others, just depends on how far out you are, what size bites you take, etc. I still can't eat a LOT of bread or pasta, but if I crave some, I eat a bite or two. I find as far as bread goes that the crunchier it is the easier it goes down. I think it doesn't expand as much. I have a thing for bagel crisps.......

Topic: What do I wear???
Hello all, I was wondering what kind of clothes to bring to the upcoming NJ Convention. Is dress casual? I know there is also a dance, is it formal or casual?
Thanks all

Topic: RE: slow weight loss
Hi April
OMG...you have lost 100 lbs girl!!! How can you not be happy with such an accomplishment? Think about it, when was the last time you lost so much weight in such a small amount of time? Have you tried carrying 20 bags of potatos? That's how much you have lost . I think we all tend to compare and tell ourselves we should be doing better when in reality we are doing just great . When you feel this way think about all you have accomplished so far. Think about all the things you can do now that you weren't able to weighing over 300 lbs. For me, when I get discouraged I remember when I couldn't fit into a seat at the movies or bend over to tie my shoes and now I am walking 4-5 miles a day and being able to sit here with my laptop on my "lap" typing this to you . You are doing awesome!! Keep up the good work!!

Hi there!
I'm in the same boat as you are! I don't care what they say- to me, the unflavored still tastes like vanilla and I cannot tolerate the thick shakes- I gag on them! So I finally broke down and purchased Susan Maria's gift basket (for me!) whi*****luded a huge amount of protein shake samples, her book, a shaker, sf candy and a couple of protein bars and vitamins.
So far I have finally found a protein bar that I can eat and tastes excellent! Power Crunch bars- the chocolate one tastes the *******so bought the Tropical Oasis liquid calcium.. and lets just say I look FORWARD to this 'medicine' it is SO good! AND its calcium citrate which is what I was told to be taking.
I haven't tried all of the protein drinks yet, but by far, the best tasting one (that doesn't get thick) is Nectar. You can order some samples of this through http://www.bariatriceating.com. Mind you, it's not OMG this is the best thing I've ever tasted, yet it's definately tolerable. I mix it with light white cranberry juice. I bought some crystal light, so I'm going to try that with it next. I haven't been brave enough to try it on its own yet!
Another option is the flavored, pre-mixed Isopures. The orange one was the best of the flavors, but it is still pretty hard for me to drink it.
Good luck!
