Topic: RE: Nov Babes... what % of excess weight have you lost??
Hello. I had my appointment 2 weeks early b/c I was having my fistual relooked at and I wanted to make it one appointment. I was told by the PA that I had lost 68% of my excess weight, but my actual 6 month anniversary is on the 8th (Mother's Day) That makes me feel good b/c I had horrible news today. I went and had another swallow test done to check my fistula and I had a reaction to the barium drink and have been throwing up and having horrible diahhrea for the last 10 hours. My husband spoke to the PA to see if it was a normal reaction and I am waiting for confirmation from my surgeon, but my outlet is completely closed and food is leaving my pouch 100% through my fistula. I am devestated and don't know what the future holds, but am still happy to be down the weight I am. I will post when I know more about my fistula and how I am proceeded. We are all doing great! Roni 242/164/136 28lbs to goal!

I am at 48% also. -70# all together. I am really slowly losing. Oh well. I have decided only to weigh once a month. That helps a little. It was six months on 5-2-05. I have only lost 4# this past month. I guess I better figure on 5# a month so it will take 10 more months to reach my goal. Which is actually 16 months post op to goal and a full year to the century club. It seems so far off. One day at a time.

I think I made this more confusing.... here goes find out what your ideal weight is (according to planner) Highest weight - ideal weight (according to planner) = excess weight Total lbs lost so far divided by excess weight x 100 = % of excess weight lost B

This is a fun thing to do. I came up with 78.5 % of excess weight lost. So I guess by their numbers I am a success already. I am hoping to lose another 34 pounds . KatherineL 305/281/187/150?
