Topic: a "COOL" moment.
Recently bought myself a new pair of jeans - all my old one's were so baggy... It's only a size 20 - but down from a 28 - ANYWAYS - this morning I pulled htme from the closet - looked at the back end & thought - these aren't mine... they must be my roommates - way too small for me. What a stellar feeling!

I've lost a little bit more than this but only a few pounds more... and too have been battling with depression.... do see a doctor - there's no reason you should have to suffer. I've heard these plateaus are normal... I've been taking my measurements once a month all the way along - to help me feel a little better when I stall like this.... - I think you would experience the same - cause you probably have toned up - & this would lead to lower measurements.... I will keep you in my thoughts - go see your doctor - no need to suffer Much affection. Pam.

I'm right there w/ ya! Except I didn't go on vacation... I feel like the novelty has worn off.. I"ve seen other posters get flamed for making that statment... but I can see how that's true. I've lost a total fo 105 pounds and I feel great.. but now the loss is starting to be less drastic which I know is good.. but it's been hard staying on track!! Anyways, I know how ya feel! Melissa

Hi everyone, I'm really struggling with depression, my weight is not dropping... I'm 5-1/2 months out and the weight loss has stopped... I've lost 68 lbs so far... I join a gym 6 weeks ago, to try and jump starts my weigh loss. I have been walking 1 mile on the treadmill and 10 miles on the bike, plus working with weight machines 4 times a week and haven't lost a pound... I know muscle weighs more than fat, and I'm building muscle.. my brain knows but my heart is sad... I'm getting remeasured next Wednesday... I have always had a depression problem, I take wellbutrin (anti-depressant) currently I have taken them for years.. I know 68 lbs I should be happy, I know... Could my medication be slowing my loss??? Plus my hair is falling out... Thanks for any advise... Jeanne

Yeah I did eat more crabs than I should, still am. I have not gained anything but only lost 4lbs. I am tryng with my vitamins, I just don't know how to get past the gag reflex I semed to have built up. Oh, I walk/jogged beore I was up to 3 miles a day. I could even run a whole mile without having to stop, now I just seem to be so lazy and making every excuse to not run. I have my first 5K next Saturday so I need to get back, now. OK today begin again - water/pills/gym - get my buttt moving!!

If I did my calculations right I have lost 73% of my excess weight?!?!?!?!? Could that be possible???? I used the BMI planner at the beginning of theis site. Entered my original weight (311) and my height 5' 7" and it said I was at 73%!!!!! HOLY COW!!!! If I did it wrong please let me know!!! Karry 311/191/167 goal

I go for my 6 month check up in July believe it or not!!!!! When I went in March for my 3 month check he said I was doing so well he would let me go till July. My bloodwork was really good and he was amazed at my cholesteral....233 before and now its 155!!! He couldn't believe it. I have lost 120 pds. and have 25 to go to reach my goal...I am also noticing the slowing down...I lose like 2-3 pounds 1 week the next week nothing. Glad to hear I'm not alone!!! Did you eat a lot of carbs on vacation? I find I only crave them if I eat more than I should....I try to limit my carbs to the morning and then very little during the rest of the day.... As far as your water goes...I have never been a huge plain water person, I do the decaf crystal light or flavored waters...They still count as a water.... Please remember how essential your vits are!!!! You really really need them, I know I hate taking them everymorning too, BUT you need too!!! I also never liked the whole "gym" atmosphere, so I do alot of walking outside. Change your workout....walk outside. Start with a little distance and work your way a little farther each day. You'll be surprised how far you'll be walking before you know it. I started out walking a 1/2 mile then went to 1 mile. Then I started a 2 mile walk, now I am at 3 to 3 1/2 miles. I also change it up and will do a walk/jog routine...walk for 2 mins., jog for 2 mins. Thats really good for you. Hope I could help.....remember how hard you have worked to get where you are.
