Topic: RE: Getting worried...am I behind?
Hi, I've lost 83...started at 331. A little slower than some, but normal for me. My doctor is pleased.
Just keep doing it...

Topic: RE: Who has joined Curves?
Hi there, I go to Curves 3 times a week. I absolutely love it...it has made a HUGE difference in my body and stamina. It's really the healthiest thing I do for myself.
It's also easy and convenient for me, what makes a great deal of difference.
I pay $39.00 a month and they had a special offer (they often do) for the membership fee so it was waived. The $39 is automatically deducted from my bank account.
It's a lot of fun...I recommend it.

Topic: I'm finally overweight!
After a really crappy PMSing carbed out week I got on the scale with great fear and could not believe that I had dropped to 163! A BMI 29.8! I'll take it!
Does jumping for joy count as exercise? Anyway, I'm back on track with the right eating. Just wanted to share!

Hi Jen
I joined about 3 months ago. I think it cost 75 to enroll, they say they were running a special 75 off but I think that is always the special. Anyway, I pay $40.00 per month. I think it is a good workout but you have to get your heart rate up there to get the benefits. I see people who don't even break a sweat. It's quick and effective which is nice but I do other things as well because i just think 30 minutes is not enough. Good Luck, it is definitely worth it to me

Hi Florida friend
You are doing awesome!!! Like everyone said before me - we are all different. Some of us are tall, short, large framed, small framed, heavier, lighter, and so on.
As for me I've lost 84 pounds and have 25 till goal, 16 to normal BMI.
Keep up the great work Amy and all of you November pals!
Hugs, Dru

Jen, I have no idea of the joining fee but, I know they are having a sale - 2 people can join for the price of one or 1/2 off single registration. I am going to check it out as well. Let me know if you join and we can compare notes
Hugs,
Dru

I've lost 122pds. and have 22 left to hit my goal, but like Andrea said everyone loses at their own pace... I work hard at it though...I REALLY watch what I eat and drink a lot of fluids....I could exercise a little more but I chase 2 boys under the age of 4 all day, that counts as exercise right???

Topic: RE: Who has joined Curves?
Hiya Jen,
I do not belong to Curves now but I did belong from May of 2003 through May of 2004. The enrollment fee at that time was $150 plus it was $40 per month. For the most part I enjoyed it - I was in and out in just over 30 minutes (with stretching) and I had a cardiovascular workout while toning muscle at the same time. I had a problem though. I developed (or had it already and aggrevated it) a bulging disc in my neck from bouncing on the little pads in between each machine. I am sure that if I joined now it would be different because I have 86 lbs less bouncing on my joints and stuff, but I have decided not to go back. Instead I purchased an elliptical machine (no impact) and I also bicycle and I have begun running (yes impact, but much less weight impacting!! lol). I can do these things on my own schedule and not have to stick with Curves schedule ( 9 am - 12 noon, and 3 PM - 7 PM) I am able to get my workouts in when they are convenient for me (6:00 am) and not have to worry if I am going to get to Curves in time to do my workout. I did hear that some Curves have changed the limited schedule but not the ones by me.
So thats my $.02 worth
God bless you and keep you,
~Andrea
