Hi Joe, I am now just climbing out of a 2 month long blue funk. It has been terrible. I enjoyed reading the reply from Sphinxy One. It made me understand some things. I am so glad for this site it is a life saver. Lizzi S

Hiya Lisa, Congrats!! You are doing so wonderfully! I cant believe how much this surgery has done for me already and even if I never lose another pound I am so thankfull for the lost weight and the fact that I, like you, am SO much healthier and feel so much better about myself. Keep up the good work! God bless you and keep you, ~Andrea

Topic: RE: Anyone else weight loss slowing at 6 months?
Hiya Cathy, Yes my weight loss has slowed dramatically. I have been stalled for about 2 weeks now with just one pound to go to have a normal BMI - very frustrating. I am sure though that the weight will come off, in its own time now. Just keep doing what you are doing, sticking with the protein, water, low carbs and exercise and I am sure it will start to come off again, although probably much slower than we have been used to. God bless you and keep you, ~Andrea 223/137/123

I have been in a blue funk for a few months and have not gone by at all. I stopped by yesterday to see if I was still a member and it turns out that I am. I packed my work out clothes and put them into the trunk this morning. I am planning on going by today. Wish me luck. Lizzi S PS: I do love the workout when I go, it is so much fun and we laugh all the time with each other.

Topic: Anyone else weight loss slowing at 6 months?
Hey Family, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a slowing down of their weight loss at 6 months out? I only lost like 4 pounds this month. I have been back with the protein and water, with exercise 3 times a day, 5 days a week. And still the scale has not moved. I knew that it would slow down, but to a crawl? If anyone can help, I would appreciate any words of wisdom to get those scales moving again. Thanks in advance. Cathy 287/213/135

Topic: 6 Months TODAY!
I am exactly 6 months as of today. OMG what a difference these month shave made - a new life. I have been very lucky and other than a few minor glitches, very minor, I have sailed through. I am 107 down since surgery, 133 altogether. I am no longer the couch potato, I am no longer making excuses why I can't go out or be around large groups( I was a large group!). I now run, love to clothes shop, I no longer dread booths in restaraunts. I am back to wearing make-up, having my nails done and just generally feeling feminine. I did my first 5K, and have my second in 10 days. I am hoping to drop another 60lbs, but even if I never get that low I am more than thrilled to still be losing. 347/321(surgery/214/ ?

Hey Joe - Yup, I sometimes get down in the dumps. It's a long road and I think that it's probably normal to get down sometimes. I talked to my doc and I'm taking Effexor 75mg. It really has helped. I feel pretty normal and happy most of the time but there are still times when I feel depressed. Talk to your doctor and see what he recommends. Good luck - you're not alone by any stretch of the imagination!! Take care, Deb
