thanks karry for taking the time to answer my concerns. i am a diabetic and i did check my sugar and they were pretty normal. the md thinks it's vertigo from my inner ears and started me on antivert but it's not helping that much,it makes me sleepy so i will f/u in two weeks and keep monitoring the frequency. she did draw labs and my numbers are all normal. thanks again for your support i really appreciate it. !

Hi Teresa, I was thinking the same question, so I was glad when I came upon your posting. Here's a look at a typical day for me. AM-Protein Shake, breakfast-2 Boca sausages with an egg or whole grain waffle or Atkins peanut butter protein granola bar - lunch-(sometimes, I don't always eat lunch) something like chicken with some lettuce and tomato-protein shake in the afternoon and a snack like a Hood Carb Countdown Atkins yogurt smoothie-dinner- grilled turkey burger with cheese on a piece of lettuce, with 1/4 cooked bulghar wheat and veggie like steamed or grilled zucchini( I don't put butter so sometimes I put a Tbsp of tomato sauce on it) or for days when I have no time, I keep on hand some Weigh****chers or Lean Cusine frozen meals(they have lower carb versions). Hope this info is helpful Laura

Topic: RE: -107 lbs, but feel like crap
Hi ladies, Thanks for taking the time to respond. Thanks for the prayers and support, I really, really appreciate it. To Sphinxy, hang in there. I was relieved and SADDENED that someone else feels like what the cat coughed up. I haven't had anybody tell me it takes more than six months to feel better, so your reply gives me hope that maybe I'm (we're?) a slow healer. Good Lord I hope so. Because I am SOOOOOOOOOO tired of feeling like this. To Karry, yes, I really DO regret the surgery. If I had to do it over again, knowing what I know now, I would have tried to have the lap band instead. I wouldn't have had the stricture or the ulcer and I believe I wouldn't feel as ill as I feel. As far as preparing for complications, you can't. You can only hope they don't happen. While the weight loss is nice, it doesnt' make up for the fact that my nearly 5-year-old daughter asks me everyday, Mommy, does your tummy hurt today? Best to all of you, Heather
