Thanks Ce Ce for the kind words. Isn't life great? I know we have our battles with the bad stuff from time to time but overall I am so thankful to have had this surgery. I truly think it saved my life. Even more I think it saved my spirit. I had no hope before this and now I'm unstoppable. I checked out your page and you have had your ups and downs too I see. But you are so beautiful and young and you have a lot to live for. Congrats on your phenomenal weight loss too. Take care and keep in touch.

Hey All November Champions !!
1. How much have you lost since your highest weight? ~106 Pounds
2. What percentage of your excess weight have you lost? (total lost / # of lbs to lose x 100)?~ 46.9
3. What is one major behavioral change you have made since surgery? (and intend to keep as a lifelong habit)? ~Stopped drinking pop. I used to drink several bottles of Rootbeer a day. Also the habit of excercising..
4. Have you lost a job, long-time friend, significant other since surgery?? No Luckily So Far So Good !
5. What is the funnest thing you can do now that you couldn't do before surgery??~Hmm so many things are becoming *doable* One that sticks out right now is being able to jump up off the ground after playing with my daughter and not having to roll around and twist and lean on something just to get up..

Topic: RE: Severe joint pain Post - op???
So sorry you're in such pain Dru! I totally agree with the Aspertame comment! I haven't touched the stuff since I read what it can do to you way back in 1997.
As far as Fibromyalgia, a Rhumatologist will diagnose that or other arthritic conditions. I was tested years and years ago and I defiinitely have it though it's not as debilitating to me as to some other folks. With Fibromyalgia, you have peaks and valleys of pain. The bad days are called "flares". If you have Fibromyalgia you don't have arthritis necessarily but you can have both. Fibro is an inflammation of the muscles connected to the joints. You usually have pain a couple inches on either side of a joint. It can do everything from incapacitate you, to make you have a "foggy" brain. It's not in your head. It's a real disease that you can manage by learning how to take it easy on yourself and training others to help you manage it and learning what not to eat to trigger flares. Stress is a big trigger. By the way my Fibro is a lot better since I've lost weight. Good luck and keep us posted on how it's going.

Thanks for the support Rhonda! You'll shed them too. It's been almost a month for me to lose the last 3 pounds. It's slowing down but I don't think I want to lose any more.
