Topic: RE: WHO'S THAT IN THE PICTURE?
When we were in Fl in April for a really good friends wedding, we were meeting at the ESPN club for dinner. Well everyone arrived before me, including my son. They were all waiting outside as I was walking down the Boardwalk. My friends, who I hadn't seen since pre-op in November kept asking my son "Where is your Mom?"
He pointed and said here she comes. He told me they just kept asking where? where? When I finally strolled up their faces nearly hit the floor. I was 98lbs down and only 1 person even recognized me from more than 10 feet away.
It felt GREAT!
I am seeing them in anotther month in Disneyland and am down another 22lbs so far, can't wait to see faces again. It really keeps you from getting discouraged by plateaus and stalls.

Mine is water in general.
Honestly after almost 7 months I feel like I am drowning. I really try but getting in 64oz a day is torture. And like you I want to drink when I eat but that is an even bigger no-no.
So struggling & drowning.

Now that is miraculous when your own dad doesn't recognize you. You must be so proud. That's great that your dad got to see you looking your best. I'd give almost anything if my dad had lived to see me. You take care of yourself and remember that while it is great for others to think well of us, it's so much more important for our own self esteem. Take care Jennifer. xoxo

Isn't it funny Angel when we get reinforcement from others that yes I really did lose weight. It's not my imagination or I'm not asleep. Keep up the good (GREAT) work. You look fabulous.

What is the one rule that your Dr. wants you to follow, that you find hardest to stick with??
Mine is not drinking right before, during or for 1/2 hour after I eat. I get SO thirsty when I am eating!! Anyone else have this problem?

Well, I eat too!! I make chili, eat chicken, or any meat I want, and if I want a bite or two of veggies or potatoes I eat them!! I alot of times put more on my plate than I KNOW I can eat, but I have foundit helps that now that I use a smaller plate. I also don't eat everything on my plate!! I don't know why I ever ever did that. Now I stop when I know I am no longer hungry. I don't ever try to gorge myself.
I haven't tried any sugary things or rice, but I did try a bite of spaghettios and it was good....I wouldn't do that all the time though.
I make a wonderful peanut butter cheesecake that I got from a WLS recipe site. It is very good! I made it last week for the first time, and its the first sweet thing I have had. I don't want to try the real sugar stuff because I have myself convinced it would make me sick, and I don't want to find out otherwise. If I tell myself it will make me dump, I won't try it.
Good luck to you!!

Hi November Bunnies!
I'm just lurking on your board. I thought I would add my 2 cents. I'm 2 pounds from goal. I say EAT IT! Certainly not all of it. I find that if I actually get it in front of me, it's no longer so attractive.
Funny how our brains work isn't it? If I deny myself whatever it is, it becomes an obsession with me. (I have that kind of personality) We know where we've been and we certainly don't want to go back.
Try some desserts made with splenda. I make EVERYTHING with it. Even pecan pies. The Cheescake Factory has an AWESOME low carb, sugar free cheesecake.
Best wishes, You all are doing SO WELL!
