Yes you did help. Just knowing I was not the only one out at 7 months (give or take days) that still wasn't really getting hungry. I keep myself on a schedule - or try real hard to do so- weekends are hard, I get busy and *forget* to eat. M - F unless something out of the ordinary comes up, I eat "on schedule". I think about food, but just as easily forget about it also. I can't say that I'm really craving anything yet either. I can eat pretty much what I want, but don't, might "taste" it, if I get the urge, but 1 bite, I'm done. have a great day!

I do get hungry - but it's an odd hungry - every now & then I get this feeling that I've GOT to eat - & what that means is that I've gone too long before meals & I'm more likely to eat to much too fast & make myself sick. I do better when I stick to a schedule of sorts - it's not hugely rigid - but about every couple of hours I have to have something - peanuts, cheese etc. makes me feel a little like I'm constantly eating.

107 pounds - that is excellent! I've only lost 84 pounds - but for me I can't believe I'm now down to an 18 - from a 28 - which is amazing to me - I really thought when I started this process that getting back into a 20 - would be the most amazing thing & probably the best I could hope for - you can imagine then that I am over the moon - I am still loosing - slowly - but still - so I can only imagine where all end up - everything from here out is just gravy.

There's only a few of us...but it you've lost 38 losts (yay for you!) and are only 15 lbs from goal, that weight difference (those being morbidly obese and those not) will make the rapidity of loss evident....hope you get to goal soon! am

Hey Sheri, I feel the same way. Isn't it great! You've done great! Some days I can see the loss, and then others I can't. That's weird, but I kinda expected it. One thing though that has changed, is that I'm more active just in everyday life and want to get out and do more and more. I stared taking tennis lessons...so much fun! I never would have done that 100 pounds ago. Laura

I get hungry but it's not the same "hungry" like before surgery...I don't know if that makes sense.... I still can't eat a meal (like breakfast, lunch, dinner...) I do much better if I eat something like some apple slices then a little while later eat something else...I just feel sick and naseaus if I eat too much food at one time. I try to eat protien first but sometimes its others. Hope I could help!! Karry 311/182/167 goal

When I started this journey back on November 1, 2004 I honestly didn't even believe that I would ever lose this kind of weight. Everyday I am surprised at how much is gone. -107 it seems unreal. One day last week I was in the fitting room and I looked in the mirror and I saw the change for the first time, now there are days that I still don't see the change but I love the days I see it. This has been an awesome ride, I would do it again, what a great second chance I have recieved. Sheri

Hi Vicki, I get hunger but not in the same way as pre-op. My body starts telling me it needs food, but my stomach doesn't growl.. sorry that probably makes no sense! Best thing to do if you're not hungry and you're busy, etc. is to set an alarm to remind you to eat. If you get on a schedule/routine you'll start to recognize your body's signals as to when it needs fuel (food). I did this and it has really helped me. Also drinking a lot of water throughout the day seems to help me 'feel' my hunger better. Not sure as to why! Jennifer

Topic: RE: I have a question!
Hi Leighann, I was having trouble getting in all of my protein too until I finally found a mix that I could tolerate. Nectar Fuzzy Navel mixed with crystal light (peach tea, sunrise orange or ruby red grapefruit flavors). One thing to keep in mind with the shakes is that 1) you have to drink them w/in a 1/2 hour or they lose their potency and 2) We only absorb about 1/2 of the protein that is listed in a shake. I was told both of these things by my surgeon's office. So I only count 1/2 the value of the shake when I drink them (to be on the safe side). Also, you might be able to eat tofu easier than meat as its a bit less dense. Funny that you can handle eggs and cheese and not meat. I could eat very moist, soft meat a lot easier than eggs. It took me a long time to be able to handle eggs. For meat, perhaps try other cooking methods or other types of meat/fish? There is a great recipe in Susan Maria's book that I tried. It was a turkey meatloaf and it was super tasty and extremely moist.. moist enough for me to eat the leftovers for two days (I usually can't eat meat leftovers because it gets too rubbery). Hope this helps and good luck! Remember to keep trying meat/fish if you are not eating it regularly so you don't build up an intolerance to it. Jennifer
