Topic: RE: Eating too much????
Hiya Michelle,
I figured I will add my two cents worth to the good advice you have already gotten. First off, dont listen to anyone who has no idea what they are talking about. There are many people out there who dont know the first thing about weight loss surgery but love to tell us what to do and how to do it.
Secondly, I eat more than you do. At breakfast lunch and dinner I can consume up to 8 oz of food plus a snack of about 2 - 3 oz of food in between breakfast and lunch, lunch and dinner and often after dinner as well. So according to what I eat, you are certainly not eating too much.
God bless you and keep you,
~Andrea

Talk to your surgeon. It's possible you could have a stricture (a narrowing of the opening from scarring). It can be fixed if that's what it is. Listen to your body. If you feel like something is wrong then there just may be something wrong.

Topic: RE: LISTEN TO YOUR BODY
Hiya Katherine,
Wow, what a horrible thing to go through but I am so glad you are doing better. Thank you for bringing it to our attention and for the reminder to listen to our bodies.
God bless you and keep you,

I think we all go through it. I know somedays I don't feel like eating anything and other days it seems I am wanting to eat alot. The thought of resturant food makes me ill for some reason though, every time I go to one I am full after a couple bites also, I think it may be a mind game I play with myself, not knowing the truth behind the food, how it was cooked,or what it's made with, sometimes even if it's a salad. Sorry I am not much help but I think it happens to us all.

Topic: problems eating?
Hello November buddies!!! Is anyone still having eating troubles? Some times I can eat normally, or even over eat...but most days, I can only take a bite or two and I'm full and feel sick. I can't keep going on like this. I go to resteraunts and I'm hungry, so I order what I think I can eat. I can never take more than 3 bites...what's wrong with me? Any advice?
Topic: Phoenix Metro Support Group
Did you know that there is a Phoenix Metro Weight Loss Surgery Support group that is for all patients no matter who your doctor is or will be? We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at Cholla branch of Phoenix Public Library (outside Metrocenter Mall). Our next meeting is this Saturday! This is a chapter of ObesityHelp. After our meeting this Saturday, we'll also be going out to lunch to TGI Fridays if you are interested.
Face-to-face support is SOOOOO important for pre-ops, post-ops and even those at goal already. We all need support. Help yourself and help others. You can come alone or bring an adult support person with you. We have a great group. I hope you join us!!

Topic: RE: i lose 120lbs. so what up with the hang skin?
hi april!! I have lost about 120 since my surgery in november. I joined the gym for a year. My first day there, I asked for an appointment with a personal trainer, which is free with my membership. I told my trainer about the surgery, and she showed me the routines to follow. I've gone from a size 32 to a 14 and I look great. No hanging, flabby skin...except for my yucky inner thighs, but I'm working on it. good luck!!! keep up the good work.

Hi Michelle it sounds like you are doing wonderful. I too feel the way you do about how much I eat, however we cannot go on forever eating like birds. When people make comments I just tell them well I could go back to eating like a bird, but then I would also start losing again like wildfire, and I don't think that is healthy at this point either. Your pictures look wonderful and it's easy to see that you are at a point that you don't even look overweight anymore. I have to laugh if anything I think I get a little more of people saying wow finally your eating something lol, as if I had a choice before lol. It sounds like you are eating a healthy amount and definitly not too much 4 oz is not too much it is within the guidlines and as long as it is the foods you are alowed I don't see the problem. Take care and congrats on your sucess. KatherineL
