(((((((((WOW))))))))))) You are doing absolutely fantastic Look at your amazing accomplishment that you've made in a year. Keep it up and you'll hit your goal. I want to lose more. I thought it would be more this far out, but I have slowed to about 7 pounds a month, but that's my fault for not really exercising, which I know is wrong.
You need to get a picture posted so we can see you MELTING away.
Best of luck to you!!!!

I want redone head to toe. I thought losing would be enough, but my arms could do some serious damage to someone once they start swingin'. I haven't looked into the cost. I'll talk to my doctor in November and see what he says.
By the way, you look great!

Ok - I went from a size 22 to a 10 now - but I have not lost any weight for about 2 1/2 months now - though I can really see a difference in my clothes - so I have been told I am losing inches - but what about what the scale says...whats happening - I need 14 more pounds to hit my goal..
Topic: 9 months out
It's been 9 months since my surgery. I weighed 516 to start. Now I weigh about 362. I have lost a total of about 154lbs. My goal is 200lbs by my anniversary date. I averaged out at about 17lbs a month since the surgery. I think the reason I've lost that much is that I work outside and I sweat alot. I do physical labor, but I've also worked out at the gym. I lost some muscle in the begining and haven't totally got back the strength I used to have. Sometimes I think that I could loose more, but my doc says I'm doing fine. Well just wanted to give an update.....Hope all is going well with the november surgery candidates. Good luck!

The white has 3.6g of protein for a large egg. With the yolk there is 6.5g of protein.

Topic: RE: I think I am having complications...scared
Hi Susan,
I had an ulcer in my pouch and one in my old stomach. I had pain in my pouch and to the right and what felt like my 'GERD' (which it was!) when I ate or drank. I have been on Nexium since January and that type of pain is mostly gone. If you are throwing up what you eat then it may be a stricture. Either way, you do not want to take this pain lightly and you need to get it checked out!!
Pre-op my menstrations were really bad/irregular and now they are milder and pretty regular (one of the reasons I had the surgery was that it would help with my menstrations). So I would see a GYN and have them go over all of your menstration issues as it most likely is a hormonal imbalance and it may just be a matter of altering the types of food you eat or taking meds to help balance it out until your body has stabilized.
Good luck to you!

Topic: RE: Plastic Surgery Anybody?
Hi Bonnie,
I am 8 months out and have already had my right arm done and tomorrow I have my left arm done. Doctor said there was no fat left in the arm so it was ok to do them. Other parts of the body aren't done "shifting" so he wants me to wait until January or February before thinking about my legs.
My arms and legs were the worst part of the excess skin because I carried a lot of weight in those parts of my body when I was MO. I was never big enough to even approach the insurance co. for help, so I'm working my ass off with two jobs to save to get them done.
Plastic surgery is very difficult in comparison to the lap surgery, so be prepared and if I can offer the best advice about ps, DO NOT EVER have it done in the summer. (wish I had known this before I started this) The heat really causes a lot of "issues" because you must wear compression garments that are made of nylon and spandex and really make you sweat which irritates the incisions.
Good luck with the journey
