Topic: RE: How much have you lost??
I've lost about 115lbs or so. depending on the day. I also feel that some days I can eat like a normal person then other days like I can hardly eat at all. I know I have to watch what I eat and be more vigilant than I have previously been. Good luck with the journey!

I have the opposite problem. I find carbs much easier to eat and digest than protein. Try just little tiny bits of it with lots of protein, that might help.

I started out at 350, and am down to 239. So I've lost about 110 lbs. I lose about 10 lbs. a month now. If I am not careful with my eating, I don't lose at all. I do exercise every day, for an hour, I take Sundays off unless I take a nice walk. I try to keep my protein up, about 70 grams a day. I guess I could get in more protein, I may lose more, but my doc says I may gain if there is too much protein.
I guess it is really up to us whether we lose more weight. We have to be vigilant about exercise, protein, and carb intake. I would like to lose another 80 lbs. So I have to keep plugging away.

Carrie,
I am in the same boat. I was 289 before surgery and now I'm 214! I'm disgusted! I was actually down to 208.5 until I started Clomid to get pregnant. Yes we are trying because I am done losing weight. I too can eat pretty normal with the exception of breads and the like. i think to myself that I somehow sabatoged my surgery and maybe tried to eat things before I was supposed to try them. I don't know... I guess I should be happy because I really do have a better life now and I don't need any medications anymore. I'm probably the last person to give advice here, but it may help to hear from someone who hasn't hit the "goal mark" yet!

Topic: How much have you lost??
Hello all,
I am just curious how everyone is doing? I have only lost about 80 lbs so far. I started at 295 the day of surgery and I am down to about 215 lbs give or take depending on the day. I'm starting to get a little nervous that this is all I'm going to lose. My weight loss has really slowed down. I am also able to eat almost like a normal person. No one would even expect that I had surgery the way I eat. Can anyone else eat pretty normally??

Hi there,
Yeah I am as well although I am only 3 weeks post-op it seems to just sit in my little tummy and make me feel ill , and I am following the directions and only doing 1/4 of a cup , I think I am done with it for a while and will try again later.

I just went thru the same problem. I was stuck at 160 for two months. I talked with my nutrionist and was told I was doing everything I needed food wise so I should just change up my exercise. I was doing a half hour video tape of exercise and instead of doing that I started walking 1-2 miles in its place and this week lost 4 lbs. Try changing your routine just a little to trick your body and see how that works. Good luck

First of all, you have done great! I am around 15 pounds to my goal, but I want to be under it. If I had my extra skin gone, I'd be there already. Anyway, it sounds like you're on a plateau. You should try the plateau breaking diet. I know that Tooter has it posted, but someone usually posts it at least once a week. I was stuck and followed it for five days, and the weight started moving again. You need to change something in your every day routine, more water, more protein, more exercise, more calories, do something that you're not used to doing. I average around 7 pounds a month lost, and I lose the most during the week of that time of the month. GO FIGURE!!!
Anyway, keep up the good work, you'll make it, I have faith in you.
