I was being facetious. I was back at work a week later after WLS too. I also heal quickly. Trust me if you pull this off, I am coming there to have him do my work! (My doc is leaving the state in 3 weeks and I need to find a new one anyway) Then I can have a vacation at the same time!!! ~I dream well, don't I?~ Tee

I will definitely let you know how it goes but this guy is suppose to be very good. You can read about him on his website that I gave you. He studied and teaches plastic and reconstructive surgery at John Hopkins in Baltimore. The other people that I have talked to said that it is rough at first but that each day gets better and better. I really don't think he would do all the work at one time if he didn't think I was going to be able to handle it. He is pretty conservative with most people (from others I have talked to). I'll let you know.

I agree with Tee - these surgeries are very traumatic and painfull. I had extended TT and BL done in Nov 05 - this is 9 hours of surgery. Even though the results are fabulous, I am still recovering. I was back to work in 3 weeks, but had a seroma to deal with and was going for its treatments twice a week for another month. Good luck! It looks like you are a believer...you will love what you see when it is all over.

No surgery... am really afraid to go under the knife again... was petrified the first time... and was terrified of not living through it... not sure I want to go through that for cosmetic reasons?? and yet, I have a hernia that must be repaired... so they tell me I gotta go under sooner or later! B

It really is scary! I have an appointment Monday for a consult. Hernias are no fun. My Mom just had her 3rd repaired a few weeks ago. Wish you well! Melinda

Hello, I had my plastics done last month! I had a TT and a mini TL and then a few days later I had a BA and Brachioplasty. I'm so glad it is over with!! I am still a bit swollen but it's better everyday! Good luck narrowing down your choices of doctors!! ~Summer

2-14-06 I had an extended muscle repair abdominoplasti with an inverted 'T' incision,( hip to hip incision and 'between breast to pubic area incision'). I had maintained my weight of 161 for 5 months.(Height 5'7") 8 pounds of skin was removed. (present weight 148 and no more to loose.) I had documented doctor's notes for the rashes & pictures, and MRI results showing the low back problems. The insurance covered the abdominoplasti and 1 appeal and I had to pay for the upper abdominal work, $5000. I do not regret this surgery but at 9 weeks post op still have swelling and daily pain--or I should say discomfort. The recovery from this surgery was excrutiatingly painful. I had no idea the muscle repair would hurt so bad. At this time it just feels like I've done 300 sit ups and my abdomen is very sore. But I am pleased with the results.
