Well let's see, great questions and here are my answers:
1. Down 191lbs since surgery! Only 40 more to go!
2. I did pretty bad at Christmas I thought but still managed to lose two pounds. New Years was not bad. I ate mostly protien but probably did snack way TOOOOOOO mu*****omparison to other years, I did greaT!
3. Next four months are to lose about 20lbs and lots more inches. I am ramping up the exercise.
4. Some not a lot actually but then those that I spent the holiday with had just seen me at Thanksgiving.
5. EXERCISE EXERCISE and find a staple that is protein first! Peanut Butter is my friend when nothing else will stay down.

Happy New Year B !!!
1. I am down 125 from my highest weight. I am at goal.
2. I did great during the holidays. I had no problems whatsoever.
3. The only goals I have for the next 4 months are to stay healthy and keep exercising.
4. Yes I got a lot of compliments. It felt so good. Everyone kept saying how tiny I was. That I have inspired them to lose weight. It's a great feeling of accomplishment!
5. Keep your head in the game. Stay focused and dedicated. This was not the easy way out. It takes a lot of time and patience to eat the right foods and the right way.
Great questions B. I'm so glad you are doing so well.

255/222/130 at goal!
Happy New Year to all! It's amazing how quickly this past year has gone!
In answer to your questions:
1. I've lost 114 pounds.
2. I did great during the holidays. I stayed the same (I'm at goal) which was great!
3. My goals are to continue exercising, keep my protein up, stay away from desserts and breads/pastas and maintain my weight.
4. I got LOTS of compliments! It was absolutely wonderful!
5. Make some decisions prior to surgery that will help you be successful. I decided that I am not a "moderation" type person so there were some things I had to give up forever. Sweets (over 16g of sugar per serving) are no longer in my diet, no breads (other than tortillas and potatoes) and no pastas or rice. I think that has really helped me attain and stay at my goal weight.
Good Luck to all!

Happy New Year!
1. 129 pounds gone!
2. I did great over the holidays... My goal was to maintain, but I actually lost weight.
3. I'd like to tone up my body and add more muscle to decrease my body fat percentage.
4. I didn't go home this year...spent the holidays with my sweetheart.
5. When you're post-op, it's a good idea to monitor your weight to keep track of how you're doing, but don't freak out over temporary stalls or occasional fluctuations up on the scale.

1. 114 LBS from my highest weight
2. I actually lost 2 pounds around Christmas but put it back on by New Year's.
3. Get back on track with my eating habits. Get back to the gym. And start running.
4. Didn't see anyone new who hasn't seen me in the last few months.
5. Pre-op advise: form your good habits early. Don't be too quick to try and "test" your pouch with bad things. Take measurements regularly, if the scale stops moving, chances are you are still losing inches.
B, where are your answers? You never answer your own polls.
Mrs 3M... I almost always answer my own polls but usually wait until its closer to the month mark for me which isn't until the 17th. I like to give myself a full month before I report - especially on weight loss. If you scroll further down on most of my checkins you will see my answers... its just that everyone seems to move on by that point in time I guess. Maybe I have omitted some that I am unaware of - I am only too happy to answer and if there is something you would like to know personally please feel free to ask!!
Thanks
B
I've lost 125.5 from my highest. I just broke 150 and am sooooo excited!!
During the holidays I did great as far as the scale goes. I did eat some things that were not the greatest for me, but I kept up the exercise and weighed exactly the same the day after New Year's as I did at Thanksgiving time.
I know I want to loose 10 more pounds, maybe 15.
Tons and tons of compliments!!! I wore a sexy little black shirt for New Year's and everyone just raved about it! It felt really good!!!
Advise for pre-ops: Don't worry about what everyone else says or thinks - if you want to do it - Do it and Do it for yourself not for anyone else!!!!! It's the best decision I've ever made for myself. And also, It's not easy so don't assume it will be!!!!
Great Questions!!!!
1. 170 pounds lost and at goal.
2. I had chocolate cake and pound cake . I do not dump. Life's a ***** I'm okay with it, and the scale stays between 154-158, my warning signal will be 160. Generally this kind of food is not around me, it's just at my part time job, so if I splurge every other weekend, so be it. I exercise and eat good foods otherwise. (Yes it took me a few weeks to realize the world was not ending and that I was not going to spontaneously combust to 300lbs.)
3. I am upping my protein, I found that the unjury is not bad if you mix it correctly. I was always 60+ grams but as I prepare for PS I want to help my body heal as fast as possible. (I have had 2 consults, and waiting on insurance verdict before I apply for a loan.) I'm sure with PS I will be down atleast 10lbs...so my goal after PS is 145.
4. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas all my cousins have finally seen me since last year. The compliments felt good.
5. EVERYONE is different, body type, surgery type, losing speed, food tolerances. Read everyones profiles, and posts, and create your own course, do not dwell on comparing yourself to others or you will go crazy. Use a 2-week/5 lb rule for the scale...if it goes up or down with in the day or day to day its most likely water weight. If it climbs steadily then re-evaluate your "course". Exercise. (I guess that was more than one peice eh?)

4. Did you get a lot of compliments from those who hadn't seen you since last year???
YES! And lots of doubletakes!
5. What is the one best piece of advice you could offer to pre-ops considering surgery???
a) Do your research-no matter which procedure you decide to go with-know all the risks involved.
b)Definitlely get support after surgery (support group meetings, counseling, therapy) because this surgery only helps us to battle our obesity not whatever issues we have that caused us to be obese in the first place.
