Soo...... it is now a major holiday - that most often revolves around eating under our belt... how did it go??? Did you overeat??? Did you have some pie???? How was the encounter with those people who haven't seen you since surgery??? What has been the most valuable lesson learned about eating and food??? Happy Belated Turkey Day ALL!!! (Christmas in the waiting?? ) B

My Thanksgiving was great. I ate a little of everything, but not too much. I had some turkey w/ a little bit of gravy, homemade sausage stuffing that i made, some mashed potatoes, broccoli w/ cheese sauce made w/ skim milk, ( I did all the cooking). I did have a piece of pie. But it was a no sugar added blueberry pie w/ fat free cool whip. I can't eat anything with sugar. Everyone there has already seen me since surgery so no big surprises there. And the lesson of the day would be that Thanksgiving isn't all about the food, it's about family and friends and sharing and having a good time making new memories together! Hey B How ya doin? I did really well on Thanksgiving! I had a little turkey w/gravy, a few bites of mashed potatoes, a lil squash & green beans, no bread! I made a sugar free pumpkin pie (using s/f pudding) and I had a piece of that pie! I had 20+ people over so you know I was drinking that Wine I saw my brother in law who I had not seen since I was 2 months post op...his mouth fell open. All day he paid me compliments adding..."I love the way you look". It was a great day. Hope your turkey day went well...how'd you eat? xoxo
