To my OH family ~my 1st yr ...good bad and ugly!

I posted this on the CA board where i hang out!! I want to thank everyone on the Nov board too. Last year in Nov and Dec 04 there were fewer of us posting here! I remember how important it was to be able to talk to people who had WLS at the same time as me!! Thank you November Babies!! My first year........the beginning! I have been one of the lucky ones and didn't have any real problems or complications that's how I remember it! Last night I reminded my DH about this important date Nov 4th and he reminded me of something I never think about!! I was hospitalized for 6 days after WLS I had an awful start....couldn't even keep water down....fill up with the frothy stuff and was eventually put on Lasix! Day 5 I kept broth down and Day 6 the IV came out and I went home. I remember seeing Pam, Sara, and Stephanie Simmons!! Thanks! I also have had times were my calcium was too low, B6 too low, and I am constantly anemic!! I still get leg cramps at night...although labs are good. I usually say I am Healthy and Happy because that is how I feel! I really do love life Speaking of feeling good....I rarely have things to gripe about...sometimes I wish I had something to add to Stacie's Friday thread...but I guess I'm a bit boring when it comes to that !! I have been blessed with some great friends, an awesome family, an amazing husband, and 2 little cute rowdy boys that I would do anything for! I had all these things them prior to WLS!! ...but this is what I gained .... ....Through OH I have meet some incredible, thoughtful, and beautiful people . I am so lucky to have made so many special friends. I have had soooooo much fun going out singing, dancing, shopping, and socializing . Then there was harassing people on elevators...cuz Summer is Not Over (ty Marta)!! I don't know what it is but I think it's because my OH friends seems to love life a little more than some of my non OH friends...it's because we have all been given a second chance and we are ALL going for it!!! Living life with GUSTO!! So thanks to everybody on the OH board for all your support, friendship, and telling it like it is!!! I thought about listing people names for a special thanks but I didn't want to take the chance of leaving anyone out...you know who you are . Special thanks to my Nor Cal girls...and xoxo for my So Cal girls!! I learn from you ALL!!! So Cal to Nor Cal....you all ROCK!! T H A N K ~ Y O U ~ S O ~ M U C H !!!
