As time goes by, I see less and less activity on this messageboard. I was wondering how everyone is and how the weight loss is going????? For me, I have lost another 20 lbs since the first of August. I believe weight loss can go until you reach goal. It is not easy. I have had to modify my calorie intake many times and move more daily. But, I am a steady loser. I am living life to the fullest and I could not be happier with weight loss surgery...I should of had my RNY years ago...but kept on thinking...I will do it myself----Later. Later never happened!!!!!! Please post your current weight for your replies...ty Sandy in Tucson 340/199/150 Nov. 4-2004-Dr. Fang, Phx, Az

Hi Sandy! My weight loss has slowed tremendously, and that is a good thing, I really don't care if I lose any more, 10 lbs at the most. When I was looking into this surgery I dreamed of acheiving the goal of reaching 170lbs! I have well surpassed that LOL I am 5'6" tall and weigh 159 right now!!! I am wearing mostly 10's, and M,L's in tops and dresses!! My favorite saying here lately is...I am happy as a clam right where I am!!! I too wish I had done it atleast 10 yrs ago, but am so happy I did it!!! I think the boards will get busier again, once the cold weather really sets in, I for one, love to be out doors when I can!!! And all of us November babies are to the point where even if were not at goal we are close and or atleast see it on the horizon...so there for where out there doing all the things we couldn't do before...living!!!! Congratulations Sandy on such a successful journey..Keep up the good work...and it is work...now I'm worrying about maintaining. Not really worrying, but hoping I can!! Hi Sandy and November babies! I have found my weight loss slowing a bit, but still coming off. I needed to lose a total of 176 pounds to get to goal. Right now, I've lost 139 so I still have 37 to go. I thought I'd have it all off by my one-year mark, but I don't think I'll make it. I should be close, though. I play racquetball one or two times each week and then work out 3 times per week, so I'm keeping the exercise level very high. Unfortunately, I don't get that in when I travel for work and my summer was full of travel. So...I'm playing "catch-up". Anyway, I look forward to seeing all the replies to the post. It helps when I see others at nearly the same weight as I started who are close to where I am now! Have a great day. Denise 326/187/150

Hi Sandra! I'm doing fantastic! I am about 20 lbs from my surgeons goal weight for me. My only goal was to be under 200 lbs, so for me, the rest is icing. I have lost 16 lbs since August 1.. that's still a pretty good rate of loss. I've not really plateaued at all [biting tongue when saying that] my weight loss has been pretty steady. I should have had it done sooner also, but after fighting with insurance, Dr's leaving, etc for 5 yrs.. what could I do? Just keep plugging along and praying. But now, I am LIVING and LOVING my life! I feel better than I have my entire adult life! WaHoO! hugs, Vickie 348/189/wherever my body decides it's 11/22/04 Dr. Trace Curry Cincinnatti, Ohio

I am here. I don't check the boards as much as I used to. Too busy living. I got engaged on Sept 8 (almost a month ago WOW) so I am in the beginning stages of planning a wedding for fall 2006. Other than that I started a new job on Sept 12 and loving it. I have lost 182lbs since surgery and am 47lbs away from my goal. I won't make this by my 1 year anniversary but my goal for that is to be at 200 or below. Only have 27lbs to reach that; tough goal but I am gonna do it. Lise Tulsa OK Dr Gorospe 409/227/180

I haven't posted because I am one of the slow losers, and I was comparing myself too much. I am feeling wonderful, but still didn't want to lose touch, so now I only check in once a month. I am so very happy for the big losers, I have lost 87# and have 48 to go, even though my one year is 11-2-05. I plateaued for a while there, and I really only lose two weeks out of the month because of menses. I am happy though. I feel wonderful. Take care and see you next month.
